Agree. But when one team is given 50% more, where many of them directly resulted in goals, it needs to be questioned.

Well, North should follow the C'wood playbook after their Adelaide game. Complain loudly and bitterly to the AFL and the media about the umpiring, and then - hey presto - next game against the Swans the free kicks are 24-10 in their favour.

Looks like the interchange happened after a goal so ball would have been in the centre of the ground

Rule says at next available stoppage point after the message gets through to the umpire. After the violation was first reported, there would have been some time while the incident was reported and confirmed. More time while the violation was reported to someone with communication with the on field umpires. After all this, there's even more time while that person waits for the next stoppage to occur. Unfortunate for North that occurred where it did, but not surprising it took as long as it did.

As for Buddy celebrating, I agree with Magpie Jo, Buddy's a knob and always has been. Only reason he gets away with as much as he does is that he puts bums on seats, eyes on screens and brings sponsorship dollars in. AFL under MacLachlan have proven that they'll always vote the way of increased profit.
