If you thought that was the world's most obvious tank job just hold your beers and wait for tomorrow's calamity when the Hawks face off against the Eagles. First score wins that one, what a farce the AFL is becoming. They even gave Clarko the day off so he didn't get caught up in the fallout from this diabolical event. A dark day for footy.

It’s called “creative tanking”. Very, very clever move!
When was the last time a club had too many interchanges? Had it ever happened?

Does seem very odd.

Goals directly from free kicks???

No one is claiming Sydney deserved to win.

If it's wrong then that goal must be taken off the swans and result overturned
That can't realistically happen, as there was still time on the clock (bugger all, but still time). If it had been an after the siren kick, perhaps.
As it is the argument would very likely go that nobody knows what would happen in the final seconds and you can't just guess.

consistently for decades been low of the differential

Remember when Chad Warner booted the ball into the crowd when he heard the siren and the umpires didn't award a Prestia a 50m penalty?

Remember when Dane Rampe climbed the goal post and there was no free kick paid against him?

Remember when Tom Papley took a dive after kicking a goal vs Hawthorn and was rewarded with another goal?

Remember when Barry Hall punched Matt Maguire in the solar plexus 100m away from the action, but the tribunal said it occurred "in the play" ?

These were all manufactured Swans victories by less than a kick. I guess we can add another to the list.
