North had a nice win first up but there’s a hundred yards in class separating these two sides. Could get ugly.
North will be down after winning round 1 for Clarko imo, and Freo will be desperate for a win here, definitely reckon there might be a flat track on Sat.

I feel like Freo will bounce back but am hoping we can put on a more competitive showing compared to our putrid visit out west last year.

It would be rather shocking if we won, even after last week's results.

Realistically I'll be happy if it's not a blow out and that there are a few long stretches where the game is on our terms, even if that doesn't translate to significant scoring.

Should we be concerned about the ground?

When the turf is being replaced a week before the game and the ground operations say they are “confident” it will be ok, I don’t get a great deal of confidence.

We probably should be, but what choice do we have? We're not going to forfeit.

Freo in the same boat though in that regard, if the surface is an issue it will affect both teams.

What a disgrace.

With heavy rain forecast.

Just play it at South Freo where they did the preseason games.

An AFL game should not be played on an oval completely resurfaced 4-5 days ago.

Think this will be a close game, can't see Clarko opening up too many attacking layers to expose a young side
