I am not saying it is good but it highlights the problem non-Victorian teams have since if Gold Coast played 16 games at home like most Victorian teams do they would likely make finals.

I don't know, Richmond and North being at the bottom of the ladder feels natural somehow, like the sky being blue or the law of gravity.

And those Vic teams' home ground advantage is largely nullified by playing other Vic teams at that ground. Interstate teams like the Suns should be able to balance having a home ground fortress with nagging a few away wins. Not a huge ask.
