I feel like in past years when we've been the underdogs, we've tended to surprise people and at least given a decent account of ourselves. But this year, it seems like when it's looked like we have a tough assignment, it's gone to script and we've been belted.

I usually go into a week thinking we can win, but Freo over there, I'm not seeing it at all. Hoping we just don't get blown away.

Changed my tune. Instead of a 50 point drubbing, I can see Geelong keeping this rather competitive but Freo's midfield will dictate the game and they win by 15 points.

It's a double edged sword, Cats will have extra run around the ground but will also get annihilated by Darcy in ruck.

Did you watch Darcy yesterday?

I mean, Freo should win, but will they?

I'll pick them by 29.

I did watch Darcy but he will be up against the worst ruck combo in the competition. Even if he plays as poorly as he did yesterday, it will be enough to outmatch what Stanley or Blicavs throw at him.

Fremantle lose this, they won't be playing finals so it's arguably their most important match of the season.

I see we are going into this as underdogs...love that! When people start writing the Cats off that's usually where they do their best work.

So in saying that....Freo by 8 in a heart wrenching loss.
Darcy will dominate whoever we use in the ruck and our midfield will get dominated by Freo's midfield group ala Brayshaw, Serong, Fyfey on return, Young etc.

Only hope we have is that they lose their confidence and lower their colours and our forward line goes bananas (still believe we have the best forward line in the comp)

Dockers by 35 points.

Cats to be around the mark for 3 quarters, but be pushed aside towards the end as the Freo midfield kicks clear.

Shades of the Sydney game earlier in the year.

Talk around Cats setting themselves up for the biggest game of the season this one. Both sides know full well what is at stake.

If Treacy doesn't get up, that is a considerable loss. Probably gives Geelong the slight edge if so.

Can't see us winning without Treacy

Henry and Kolodjashnij are not very good defenders anyways so it'll be down to whether or not Freo allow Stewart to dictate that end of the ground.
Put the clamps on Stewart, the amount of midfield dominance you will have, the dam wall be ready to burst at some stage in the match.
