Absolutely, but there's no way the AFL would've ever allowed a GWS v Suns match (or Port v Suns the week after) in primetime, gotta save those spots for some absolute slop between two Victorian clubs

Edit: Just realised they've actually had the foresight to put two games on the Friday night that week and they've still ****ed you over. Bit of a joke
There’s talk we’ll play Essendon on Tuesday now so we’d have to play you on the Thursday, surely….

Even then that’ll be back to back 5 day breaks for us heading into a potential first finals campaign lol.

There’s talk we’ll play Essendon on Tuesday now so we’d have to play you on the Thursday, surely….

Even then that’ll be back to back 5 day breaks for us heading into a potential first finals campaign lol.
I’m pretty sure the AFLW starts in r23 of the AFL so they said they’ll leave them start the season on the Thursday without a clash with a blokes fixture.

I think it’s pretty dumb that they’ve put the Freo v Lions game on the Friday, I get the timezones but it should be the suns in that timeslot. In round 24 I expect Ess v Carl on Thursday night and PA v GCS to probably be a Friday night game at that 7:40/8:10 timeslot with probably Bris v Haw at 7:20.

I know the AFL had already given Essendon max number of five day breaks so maybe they’re going to make the suns have a shorter break heading into the rescheduled game. I guess that game will be on the following Wednesday and they’ll make the suns play their first final the following Saturday? (10 day break). If it’s a dead rubber Essendon and Gold Coast should agree to split the points and not waste everyone’s time.

There is no Men's AFL fixtured on Thursday of Round 23, as that is already earmarked for the Blues-Pies AFLW season opener, correct.

Fixture is out.

We have 2 games to play in Rd 24, and yet they’ve scheduled us for a Saturday game in Rd 23. Idiotic. We really should be playing that game Thursday night, there’s no other game even scheduled then!
Yep. You Thursday, us Friday. Then the same the following week with a Tuesday game.

Carlton are rubbish yet still get looked after?

They say they keep the fixture dates this late to ensure the big matches are in prime time, yet time and time again they prove it’s bullshit.

Carlton and Essendon dominating the prime time alongside the Dogs, yet the top 2 sides get less prime time games.

Top of the ladder clash, potential grand final preview gets locked away on pay tv whilst Bulldogs v GWS on free to air…

haha Round 20 "Derby round", two Friday night games, and they still somehow manage to have the only 2 games on Sunday overlap 🤣

View attachment 2315165
And as usual none of those derbies will be on national FTA all due to greed and utter incompetence. If the a(v)fl were serious about making their comp a truly national game then they'd request for some (or even all) of the non-vic derbies to be given national FTA promotion.

Caro said GC vs Ess would be Wed 27th August

We print cash for the league win lose or draw

Then just give us the entire fixture at the start of the season instead of bullshitting that it’s to get the best performing teams in prime time because clearly Carlton are average.
I understand why WalshistheGOAT would chuckle at your comment. As those of us who weren't smart enough to spend last night sticking pins in our eyes instead saw, Carlton are indeed much less than average.

As I said... Win, lose or draw we print cash for the league. People love watching us fail and our fans love watching the rare occasions when we succeed.

The tapes from the other night should be burnt in the fires of hell but people still tune in and will continue to watch us regardless of whether we suck or not.

Teams like St Kilda on the other hand are often skipped over as nobody gives a toss about what they do.

That's all fine, but it only serves to further validate LuckyBounce!'s comment that the fixture should simply be set in stone up front without mucking around with this floating fixture rubbish which we can all see does little or nothing to reflect the performances of the 18 clubs.

Luckybounces only issue is he hates Carlton and hates seeing them being treated favourably compared to his club.

Blues have performed better than the Saints this season as a whole and were rewarded with some prime time slots.

Woopty doo.

The same saints that if they win tomorrow are percentage out of the 8?

Right. So you agree with the comment itself. That's why you've tried to make it all about the person making the comment instead. Got it.
