Is there going to be a liked, learned, hated for the trade period?

I'm looking forward to the hate.

In fairness to Danger, I thought his speeches were admirable. His gained alot of respect the last 5 years.

I can’t stand Dangerfield…but boy his speech made it hard for me to dislike him. Best losing captains speech I can remember.

I see where you are coming from but hopefully the message in house is different ... second is fine doesn't fire you up determined to get back next year and flip the script.

That being said I can't stand Jeremy (due to his decapitation attempts on unaware Lions) but making that tackle with a broken arm showed a determination guys like Hollywood and Clanger were just lacking ... so momentary respect

Liked: Brisbane's last 40 minutes...took me back to the hawthorn team of the 80's and Brisbane's original superteam...their best was absolutely next level.

Learnt: GF entertainment is always difficult at 1.30 in the afternoon...don't really blame the performers but your limited with that timeslot....give the hoods a crack at it...or even TISM for sh7ts & giggles.

Hated: A bloke trying to play with a broken arm not being subbed...poor management a total arrogance.

Looking forward to....sort off:
Hawthorn having a crack at Brisbane in a GF..but would fear a flogging could have a long lasting effect.

The biggest issue Geelong had was we exposed them for playing players who aren’t at AFL level in a grand final. O’Connor/Mullin/Bowes/Clark

Hated the umpiring in the first half was disgraceful and the lions did well to be level at halftime

Loved Geelong getting spanked in the second half

Learnt the lions are a scary proposition and will be hard to stop again next year

And yes one was injured in Cameron, but he knew that before halftime and didn't do the team thing, though always hard to blame players for not wanting to go off.

Then you get Bailey Smith trash talking Harris Andrews when his team is 60 points down.

Then you get Danger giving a speech after the game with a big smile saying '2nd doesn't get celebrated enough'

There is a massive problem right there.

Liked: Jezza's courage. A few of the younger cats really stood up.

Hated: Losing. Channel 7 not showing half of the centre bounces.

Learnt: The atmosphere difference between PF and GF is getting wider and wider. Mate told me that the women next to him in MCC read a book all game.

We now have a body of evidence under the current finals system that shows that when teams from a Qualifying Final meet again 3 weeks later in the Grand Final, the losing team from the QF usually wins the Granny. 2003 - Brisbane 2005 - Sydney 2006 - West Coast 2015 - Hawthorn 2025 - Brisbane...
