Captains on the Friday DO NOT LET GO OF THE CUP FIRST
Danger is a pretty cool customer, this kind of thing doesn't bother him. He was out on the ground drinking a coffee before the game, it takes a fair bit to rattle him.

Very cool, drinks coffee on the field, eats kebabs on the bench, does a disappearing act on the MCG grand final day…. What a man

Liked: Jezza's courage. A few of the younger cats really stood up.

Hated: Losing. Channel 7 not showing half of the centre bounces.

Learnt: The atmosphere difference between PF and GF is getting wider and wider. Mate told me that the women next to him in MCC read a book all game.
Did he report her for anti social behaviour?

Liked: Watching the talented players at Brisbane perform on the day. Charlie Cameron's goal on the boundary when the game was on.
Dangerfield's speech.

Learnt: Geelong are a home and away team specialist but fail in September a lot.

Hated: Chris Scott freezing in the coaches box and leaving Jeromy Cameron on and subbing Stanley.
Chris Scott's whinging and excuses after the game.

Anyone thinking Hugh deserved the Norm wasnt watching the game.

He did almost all his work when the game was over.

I would agree, I had him in the sweep and at 3/4 time thought I was no chance. It was only in the last quarter as his numbers went up that I thought I was maybe a sniff.

In terms of actual impact I thought it was between Ashcroft, Bailey, Zorko and Andrews. I think the voters did a pretty good job as you could throw a blanket over those four I think, and outside of Hodge they are the ones that got votes.

I haven't seen any individual pressure act stats, but here are top 20 individual tacklers. Will A tops the list. Brizzy in total 50% more, despite having the ball more. Despite my personal tackling fetish, I think this is a key finals indicator. And Ashcroft and McCluggage went hard early looking at Q1.

Dangerfield, Cameron, Neale, Stengle all worse. Bailey Smith at least have a yelp. Not much of one but a yelp none the less.

I'm not sure who gave Neale the biggest beating on the day, Andrews or the inept Geelong ball carriers who couldn't hit the side of a barn when delivering into the forward line.

Liked : In a rare Geelong highlight for the day, the goal that Mullin kicked. Running at breakneck speed and nailing it, not an easy skill. Maybe a sign of things to come for the Cats as he learns the game more and more and gets confident in his abilities.

As an old defender, I love Andrews as a footballer.

Loved the Big O getting a medal.

Learnt : Geelong had their chances in the first half to get away a bit (aiding by Brisbane's early inaccurate kicking) but in the end, the Cats were outclassed over most parts of the ground.

Hated : The kicking abilities of our major ball carriers, not good enough and it's not an easy fix without recruiting better kicks to the club.

Jezza staying on the ground, he hadn't had a kick up to that stage but still selfishly stayed on. He must have known.

Bringing in Stanley instead of Bews. Bews had played well on Cameron numerous times before. He had only play 3 or 4 games this year, but had played well in each of them. I've been a big fan of Stanley over the journey, despite the numerous critics he has from Geelong supporters, but things had worked well with in the first 2 finals with Blicavs in the ruck. That change seemed to throw Geelong out of whack.

In the end, not enough contributors and not enough class.
