Well, practise matches are an amazing yardstick for how teams will perform apparently

There were a couple of passages in that second qtr that effectively decided the game
Pies were coming back into it then GWS lifted their pressure and tackling and broke them. It was as hard and willing as a final and one or two Pies players wouldn't want to look back on how they attacked the ball at times

I think the pies will be okay and will challenge for the 8, but if you peel back the layers here theres some concerns.

This was legitmately the Giants second string side. If both teams are full strength theres a 70 to 80 point difference.

Josh Daicos at half back is music to the ears of most opposition teams. Does not have a clue how to defend.

The big 3 key forwards for Collingwood are all B graders at best. Not sure it works.

Lastly, embarrassing from Mccrae. Take away his only weapon and he sooks. Has he been found out?

You see us play against Hawthorn? I wouldn't even be tipping us in any of our first 3 (Brisbane then Freo away I think), bye then North who won't be easybeats early on.

You are VERY generous. Honestly that performance screamed of a side that wasn't prepared and we have won 7 from our last 14 or something, middle of the road. Gulden is a massive loss, and I shudder to think what happens when Warner is tagged.

What a pleasant surprise. They resisted a couple of Pies' counter attacks and periods of dominance.

28 degrees, humid asf, dead crowd, the conditions were not suited for the GOAT and he knew it. Once GWS put on a real game of footy in Sydney they will get to experience the GOAT. Until then, he will coast against them knowing they are not worthy of his rare air.
