Just explaining the reason why I enjoyed the umpiring on Saturday given it's usually the other way around. A welcome change.

This is the crux of the matter, Essendon get a bad run of umpiring against one team and think they're the biggest victims in the world and the Swans are some type of protected species. And look, I understand how Don's fans in particular would come to those conclusions. However the Swans are on the wrong side of the overall umpiring differential year after year for a decade+ (look up the figures for yourself) and our fans are just jack of it in general. (ps each laugh emoji I get from a bomber fan adds another year to the finals streak so go nuts).

What happens with other teams doesn't concern mean. I'm an Essendon supporter and after over a decade of the same thing, it's just great to be on the other end for once. It's not that deep.

Sydney is not the only one. I'd be just as happy if we had a good run against Collingwood.

If Sydney fans are aggrieved, that's fine by me. If we're constantly the 1 out of 10, then we have a reason to be aggrieved too. Both are valid.
