Normally don’t go to neutral games but decided to get some use out of my corporate facilities so went along last night. Absolute belter of a game and had a great night. Not sure why the Crows tried to shut it down with about 7 minutes to go as it looked like they would win comfortably if they kept attacking

Clearly 2 full panes of grass which is 20m.

Georgiades clearly got hands to the ball well inside the 50. That’s not 46m.

I reckon that this game was lost at the selection table. Visentini may be going to be a decent ruck with a few more pre-seasons, but in a high pressure cooker like atmosphere, against a smart bull of a ruckman in O'Brien, Port had to leave Sweet in the side. Even Soldo would have been a better ruckman for this game.

I watched the SANFL showdown and Soldo was awful. He's not the player he used to be.

Also of note is that since they last played finals way back in 2017(Thanks Tiges) weve finished above them every year, only missed finals 3 times, finished top 4 4 times and won a minor Premiership, all while they've racked up earlier draft picks and a wooden spoon.

That they only beat us by 5pts says more about them than us I'd have thought and was a common narrative amongst sober Crows fans post game.

Wow, with that kind of resume of late, your trophy cabinet must be getting pretty full, over the last few years

Felt like Adelaide had it under control for most of the game. Put the cue in the rack too early obviously and nearly lost because of it - won't work against Collingwood! As an aside, Port should ditch the prison bars I think - surely they want the AFL side to make it's own identity and history now? It just seems to me to take away from the game itself. Move on I say.

Port actually finished last season as the best fourth quarter team, by going on a run of seven 4th quarter wins in a row. Strange reversal.

Melbourne isn't too bad in second halfs, they're actually ranked 12th.
