Stop Rowell, stop GC. Enter Libba.
On paper that have close to the best midfield in the comp. Anderson, Miller, Flanders & Humphries all A graders or close to it.
We may try to throw Bont into the centre a little more this week. Ditto Treloar

True. That midfield has been beaten 3 weeks in a row though
This may be the week to take Truck out of defence and give him a wing too. Need every bit of run we can find.

Davidson and Williams on the wings should be enough there.

Midfield is pretty deep now with Bont, Richards, Sanders, Libba, Freijah and Treloar as well as West and a few others having a run through.

English has hopefully hit form now too.

For some reason Bulldogs are favorites against Gold Coast in Darwin????

Gold Coast by 46 points
The Dogs are in great form with three consecutive wins and the Suns seem to be hot and cold at the moment. It's predicted to be around 30 degrees when the first ball is bounced in this game so I reckon the Dogs are going to struggle with the conditions more than the Suns. Humidity will also likely prevented talls Naughton/English from getting on a roll.

It's a pretty important game for both clubs in terms of consolidating their place in the top 6. Both teams are looking like finalists this year, but this is the type of game that could be the difference between just squeezing in and getting a home final/double chance.

maybe if we lose the Darwin games, the club and AFL will stop them, and you know, allow the team to have 11 home games at their home stadium to reward the members and supporters who pay their hard earned to financially support the team.

By that logic those conditions will be difficult for King and Co as well.

least you still get what 15 games at marvel/mcg/kardinia park in any one season?
actually how many is it?
17 games in Victoria / 14 games in Melbourne for the Bulldogs in 2025:
  • 12 @ Marvel
  • 2 @ MCG
  • 2 @ Ballarat
  • 1 @ Geelong

Their remaining 6 fixtures outside of Victoria in 2025:
  • 1 @ Adelaide
  • 1 @ Brisbane
  • 1 @ Canberra
  • 1 @ Perth
  • 1 @ Gold Coast
  • 1 @ Sydney

We don't play in Perth, GC, Canberra or Adelaide from here

Dogs had a few games early in the year which were very hot (North round 1, Blues round 3) where it was a very warm day in Melbourne and then had to play with the roof shut at Marvel which made it very muggy and locked in the heat. Different to Darwin of course and a lot more humid and slippery up there, but Dogs do have a bit of experience with the hot footy games so far this year. Dockers round 4 was a warm Perth day too.

After watching Dogs playing awesome football recently I can't see Suns beating them especially after Suns midfield was uncompetitive against Lions.

English is back to form, the rest of midfield is very impressive.

The only hope is that Suns team will respond after bad QClash. Suns also play Darwin conditions very well. It's crazy hot, humid, a lot of sweat on the ball.

Suns will make some changes to line-up due to Weller's injury and playing Hawks in 5 days (like they did last year).

Dogs by 30 unless they have a bad day. Every team has a bad day from time to time. No? That's the only hope for me.

Darwin (Gold Coast), Sydney and Brisbane games to come. Must be nice to know you don't have to get on a plane in 12 of your remaining 15 games for the year.
We travel more than most other Victorian clubs.

It's a national competition with 10 clubs in Victoria. What do you want?
