Have to say, it is pretty disheartening to see the team get as close as they did at the end of the third quarter, only for Geelong to kick the first couple and for us to go "Yeah **** this, wrap it up."

I know we have injuries, but you can only play who's in front of you with what you have, it's not good enough.

Don't care. Very few positives I will get out of this game. Reid kicks 4 goals in a space of 8 minutes. Dockers kicked 10 goals and didn't get a 100 point loss.

Longmuir will be feeling the heat already after that performance, apart from the third quarter Freo were horrendous.

In all seriousness better sides will make Geelong pay, like Brisbane did in the prelim and several other sides did for 30-60 minutes patches through the 2024 season.

Those lapses aren't good enough. They have all year to try and cut them out before the big games, if they earn them.

Exactly, even if we lose, at least show you're willing to play out all four quarters and show some heart, outside of Bruce Reid and a couple of others, it wasn't there.

And the rising star award means nothing imo bit micky mouse award no fan should take it seriously imo it's mostly a betting award.

HReid didn't win it last year from suspension & guys like Dusty never won it, it's never a sign of how good of a career a player is going to have. in fact, the players that win it usually don't end up being the best from their draft.

Yeah they completely switched off and the 3 qtr time break saved them. Probably a mix of complacency and Freo having nothing to lose.

Geelong will have more trouble with faster and more aggressive sides but apart from 1 qtr today they were pretty scary. Always hard to judge round 1 though.
