The kid is a match winner. He made the last goal with the 50/50 contest win in the middle.

Wet weather footy was hard going and Dee's a bit stiff in some ways with a couple of chances to seal the envelope at the end.

Punchy May. AA full back.
Kozzie Pickett. Nice small forward. Would have been very handy on a day like today!
Judd McVee. Very good defender, one of our best and most consistent players last year.

We had five debutants today, four of which had never played AFL before. That is quite a lot, a record in fact.

Thought we were ok today all things considered.

It was a solid effort by Melbourne yep.

They have 9th-12th written all over them this season, based on where their list is at. Which is fine as it gives the kids a competitive setting to develop in.

Melbourne's finals record at Perth vs the MCG this century is quite a contrast, even accounting for the 2018 prelim. If they became the Perth Demons after 2021, maybe more flags would've resulted 2022-2023.
