Umpiring was fine. A few bad calls both ways but not too badUmpires did their absolute best to get North across the line.

Where do you start on this campaigner ?His commentary all match has been ****ing embarrassing
Oh please - it was a genuine contest that happens in footy. Do you want him to pull out and flop like Watson or Ginnivan?Archer will get weeks for that. Dog shot not seen since the 90s

The singular incompetence of Charlie Comben and Cam Zurhaar is what lost it for us in the end.Surprised at the praise from commentators on North's showing, they shouldn't be losing to a dogs team missing half their starting mids, and about 4-5 other best 22 players.
Skills still so poor from North, surprising given how many possessions they get, you'd think they'd be better at disposing.
Backline still an absolute mess, all well and good to get a couple of mature age players, but they keep recruiting mids when they clearly need tall and medium defenders.
DEI hirebrereton still employed

I'd add McDonald to that list as well. The singular incompetence of Charlie Comben and Cam Zurhaar is what lost it for us in the end.
Replace them and we would have probably won.
Oh well.
Agree we should’ve won, but I think we already have made (small) inroads.I'd add McDonald to that list as well.
Agree you're not far off, but dogs were there for the taking.
Gotta start making inroads this year.
Agreed mate. North really hit hard against this fully fit dogs outfit.Agree we should’ve won, but I think we already have made (small) inroads.
Replace Comben with wil dawson, Zurhaar with Duursma, maybe McDonald with Hardeman, and the result would’ve been different.
He has the amazing ability to make the most mundane bland basic facts sound like deep existential philosophical truths.....Derm isn’t going anywhere. He was on the last line the last few years but with the new Fox deal they need him. He’s awful.
Back in the day you'd say "this ****wit has swallowed a thesaurus "He has the amazing ability to make the most mundane bland basic facts sound like deep existential philosophical truths.....
What do you want me to say?Agreed mate. North really hit hard against this fully fit dogs outfit.
Just think it’s funny to say the result would’ve been different with your three injuries. What do you want me to say?
WB have been a uniquely difficult matchup for North for years.
After several absolute massacres, that was one of the more competitive efforts we’ve mustered.
The opposite works too. He’s hard work.He has the amazing ability to make the most mundane bland basic facts sound like deep existential philosophical truths.....
That last connecting kick inside 50 killed you, as it does many developing teams. There was more to like than hate tonight from the Roos I thought. The singular incompetence of Charlie Comben and Cam Zurhaar is what lost it for us in the end.
Replace them and we would have probably won.
Oh well.
What? Read the post again. He's saying they were shit.Just think it’s funny to say the result would’ve been different with your three injuries.
I’m sure if Bont, Treloar, Weightman, JUH, Jones and JJ were all playing it would’ve been a bit different too.
The 1st qtr was terrible.North really should have won this game , The doggies were cherry ripe to be picked
and north just didnt handle this well and let a very winnable game slip
Looking at their fixture and that missed chance, they’re likely to be 0-9 before they meet Richmond.Shocking loss for North Melbourne.
Maybe that 8 win season is still at least another year away. Last night they had a golden chance to start the season strong.
