Brisbane showing why they are the number 1 team in the comp, and why Bailey and Rayner need an extremely tight leash! When they move the ball through the corridor or get out in the open!! Holy cow!!

Mcinerney causing headaches. Going to be a tight second half.

They have indeed got the most supporters

Unfortunately 85% of them wouldn't even know they're playing atm

Then what is the definition of supporter lol

If you asked Australian primary school kids in the 90's which NBA team they supported, most would say Chicago Bulls, most would also never have watched a full game of NBA in their lives.

So again, what is our definition of supporter?

Can anyone confirm Dwayne Russell's claim that this the their first meeting since last year's Grand Final? I can't be bothered checking the fixture beyond looking at previous rounds ...
Not sure but since this is Brisbane's first game since then it may actually be the case

Is that like kids that wear 70s/80s band shirts, yet wouldn't even know a single song or album?

We look like a team playing their first game of the season with an odd pre-season over the last 2 weeks.

This comes directly from the Sydney Swans website:

"Roy Morgan Research has confirmed the Swans are once again the most widely supported AFL team in Australia for the 18th consecutive year. The Sydney Swans have again topped the annual Roy Morgan AFL supporter ladder as the only club with over 1 million supporters. 18 Sept 2023"

Grand Final rematch, Sydney home game, there is not even 30k at the SCG lmao.

Roy Morgan Research is 100% getting backdoor payments to make such farcical claims just like Jay Z was busted bribing Grammy douches to get Beyonce the country album of the year, anyone with half a brain cell knows it's all horseshit.
Hot as hell in Sydney today. Not really conjusive to a good crowd. Bizarre post to put in a game day thread anyway.

For supposedly the 2 best teams, this is the ugliest football ive seen
Still early in the season, incredibly tough contested game. Skills aren't going to be as good.

The commentary sounds like its being done from the Melbourne FoxFooty studios?

Buckley, Lewis, Russell were all in Melbourne last night.
Buckley is definitely in Sydney. It does sound like Russell is calling it off a TV
