It would have been nice to have another better game to switch over to.

Kennedy is way better than Cerra - the most edgeless mid in the comp

Kennedy is a great player. I wanted him to stay. However, he was more Cripps' understudy in the way he played. We couldn't have too many of the same type in the centre. Also, his pace was lacking. Cerra isn't quick but quicker than Kennedy, and Cerra can go back. We do miss Kennedy's ability to play forward and he's a dead eye shot for goal.

At the end of the day, we honoured his wishes. He's a great team man and he is in career form in the role he prefers. We drafted Harry O'Farrell with the pick we got for Kennedy, and he looks like a natural.

Both teams can win out of a trade. It was a no fuss trade, no game playing, just doing what was best for the player. Some people want to turn it into a negative for teams they don't like though. Bit petty.
