Using an ice-cream analogy, the Saints are a very vanilla team, only capable of beating other vanilla teams like Freo. Now the Eagles are generally pretty vanilla themselves but they do have a caramel swirl mixed in and it's the caramel swirl that is giving Ross & the Saints a brain freeze today.

I tend to believe the Chris Scott theory of "it's not who you play, it's when you play them."

But this is a little tricky.

His role at St Kilda seemed to be sit deep and try and jump from a standing start to mark. Amazing what a decent coach can teach a player to do and what they can bring out in someone’s skill set
