Amartey was a difference maker in round 2 vs Freo in Perth.

Got a Mark vs Brennan Cox with like a minute to go. Kicked a goal that got the swans the lead and swans held on to win
He took one pretty unconvincing inside 50 contested mark today in junktime. I dont think he had more than a few marks all game period. I want to see him take a game by the scruff more than once in a blue moon, but he's clearly not a key forward and I don't see signs of that happening. He gets a handful of good marks and 2 or 3 goals at most. Like Logan McDonald, just doesn't have much impact at all up forward. Did a few good things defensively early though.

Sydney could still be real contenders if they have a more dangerous forward line.

Carlton are terrible. It was disgusting that we didn't beat them last week. We were awful, Carlton were just a bit less awful.

I wouldn't be too pumped if I was a Sydney supporter. Carlton are terrible.
Better beat us, it'll be beyond putrid if you don't.

The way I see it, even North and Richmond are some chance against even the good teams on their day. Or at least put up a fight. Us, OTOH...

Come on. The count doesn't tell a story here.

There were two shockers that went against Carlton IMO:

  • The OOBOTF and Heeney snap goal
  • The deliberate OOB in the last qtr

That wasn't enough to overturn a 4-goal deficit (which it was before the goal on the final siren when we had clearly switched off).

Your lot lost it in the first half when you should have been at least 4 goals up. Nobody to blame for that but yourselves.

was a terrible game up to the last quarter.
Was suprised the Blues didn't finish the game with a win, forth quarter drop off in energy and intensity.
well done to Sydney, a much needed win.

Regardless of what we dish up against you lot (who knows).... Carlton are terrible.

Mate it was a solid win given the personnel on the park.

Out of that team is:

First choice CHB: melican
First choice Center: gulden
First choice FF: McDonald
Captain: Mills
First choice small forward: Papley

It’s almost a compete spine missing from the team, in addition to Adams, Fox and Cunningham who are all first XXIII when fit.

Is Amartey a kpf? The bloke is 197 cm.

I mean..... He isn't Warwick Capper or Tony Lockett or Barry Hall or Buddy Franklin isn't he?

He was Swans leading goal kicker did kick 43 goals last season .

Heeney and Chad were responsible for 19 score involvements. (**** I hate that name, just call them assists and be done with it)

Sydney had 23 score events in total. Huge impact

Its such a useless stat. The way King goes on about it makes me shudder, almost as bad as how CD has worded a score assist!

Score Involvement: Number of scoring chains where a player was involved with either a disposal, hitout-to-advantage, kick-in or knock-on. If a player has two disposals in the same scoring chain, he is credited with one score involvement.

Score Assist: Creating a score by getting the ball to a teammate either via a disposal, knock-on, ground kick or hitout, or by winning a free kick before the advantage is paid to the goal scorer.

Neither does this post.
