Good hard fought game.

Bit of a shame for either side to lose it, although after last week, a draw wouldn't have been a good thing either.

Well done to North for holding on. For the last 10 mins, I was pretty sure Richmond were going to steal it.

Not really.
They would take that every week. Draw last week v Brisbane and losing v Essendon by 3, after getting within 9 v Port the week before. They deserve a win amongst it

Felt like we should've won that, lots of missed opportunities. Poor umpiring last few minutes. Should have been in a position where that didn't matter though. Barely winning a clearance is getting old, although we nearly won despite that

What I love about Xerri is his willingness to do the dirty work - loves getting down on his hands and knees to feed the ball out, tackle and chase hard, and put a strong physical presence on any opponent nearby.

his efforts immediately after each ruck contest are immense. it's usually either a clearance himself or a tackle.

Same as last year the highlight of the game was the Xerri vs Nank match up. 2 bulls just smashing each other and anyone else in the vicinity. Then get up and do it again. No arms flailing, no whinging to umpires, no histrionics. Probably went out for a beer afterwards.

Also pretty impressed with the crowd. 50k+ for a Sunday 1pm game between 2nd and 3rd last on the table is damn good.
