Saw the first half in person. Gut reactions:

• Thank Christ Brisbane only have a decent forward line and are perhaps vulnerable in defence on a lucky day; they'd be unstoppable otherwise.
• Hawthorn? Nah. Too many players with obvious limitations.

I also saw a half of Hawthorn against Melbourne and had similar impressions. And by god the ducking is insane.

I think making an attempt only applies if it’s wrapped up or knocked out.

Otherwise run down tackles also apply. You’ve “made an attempt” to kick it but got tackled before you could
