impressive display by a team that drove the knife in.
Sydney..well what needs to be said - let's hope they have no big stand alone games for the rest of the year.

Equal biggest winning margin of 90 points, which matches the 1996 record.

Biggest away win against Sydney surpassing the previous high of 44 points from 1993.
Thanks for that, that's insane!

Rankine doing nothing for most of this game. Overrated.

Beautiful post 😂

Rankine not sighted for another entire quarter.
When he does get the ball he gets caught for holding - puts his head down (ducking) and doesn’t try to dispose.
So overrated. Looks like SANFL level out there tonight.

Oh and there you go again.

Priceless! 😂

Rankine gun midfielder? Had like four touches for the quarter and gave away two frees in a SMASHING.

Did nothing like always.
and again 😂

Next 2 weeks determine whether we can mount a challenge this season or just stumble into finals. We have played well in parts in our losses against Gold Coast (Rankine free, umpires etc), Geelong (undefendable centre bounce and d50 turnover goals + running out of legs) and Collingwood (lack of belief and clutchness).

Brisbane will be a test, and then Hawks in Tas. Shall be interesting.

Crows - I like to watch!

Ditto - Pies, Cats, Dogs, Lions.

And more recently - Dees.

All these teams have their particular attacking flair. Finals will be fun.

Warner was close to WOG for the Swans. Sooked it up all night to the umpires and bombed it needlessly everytime he got the ball.
If Cox wanted to make a statement, he'd sub off him or one of the other experienced Swans players doing SFA. He gave the vests to a couple of first-year players. Very brave of him to send such a powerful message.

Guy is clearly a dud coach. Looks like they gave the job to a work experience kid.

Last year killed them
The 2 grand final losses aren't a cause of Sydney's problems, they are the result of them. They get carried by Gulden, when he's not there or gets shut down they struggle. Warner is lazy and Heeney is being asked to carry too big a burden. The rest of the players aren't good enough to pick up Gulden's slack and/or their deficiencies are being exposed.

Very similar to the Bulldogs in 2017 without Easton Wood. With him there in the 2016 finals series, sides were so hesitant to kick the ball long to a contest inside their forward 50 for fear of him intercept marking that it allowed their pressure game to come into play, their defence to get set and hurt the opposition on turnover. The following year, without him there, sides didn't have that fear and so their defenders not being great 1vs1 got exposed.

It's no coincidence that the 3 sides with the greatest depth and ability to win with players out are the last 3 premiers.
