Steven May just embodies why Melbourne can't succeed.

Zero commitment to being an elite team mate
Its harsh but he has done a lot to earn this reputation. A spray for his brilliant captain who carried the side all day?

May is a gun, he could be so much more.

So how does this work, do we now retrospectively add the bs goal at half time that the pies got because Melksham apparently pushed a guy in the back whilst getting shoved in the back himself?

All in all, a good effort by the boys considering the umps were a 4 goal pies influence and we couldn't kick straight again.
Did Dees win on expected score again? :sadv1:

Simon Goodwin is a huge issue. I love Gawn but don’t reckon he is a great captain. The Melksham May incident should’ve been handled better and allowing May as much pull as he has had is disappointing.

Perhaps took too much on board from Roos on this one. Had to love his supposed 'no dickheads' policy at Sydney. He had and actually and tolerated as many or more dickheads than any other side.

He's a good fullback

He's also a campaigner of a human

The Sorrento story is real, hitting on a blokes girlfriend them ambushing him outside another pub later on with 3 "mates" aiding him

Got out of jail and yes the umpiring seemed to favour us. But you’ve still got to be able to take advantage of your opponent’s errors and any umpiring favours and, in the end, be able to close the game out.

It is hard to deny that the Pies are ,generally, the best drilled team in the competition at the close finishes at that this has helped them win a flag and make a number of finals series.

Regards

S. Pete

I never understand this argument. If a goal comes from a clear free kick why is that any less worthy than any other goal? It's only when the free kick is unwarranted where the issues arise
Generally that's very true but there were a few soft calls and non calls including a couple of late call advantages. My point is mostly directed at those complaining Pies only won because of umpires when Melbourne got a large majority of goals from free kicks. I thought the umpires were terrible for both teams.
