Who do those 3 replace?

Any Brisbane defender from the weekend is surely not getting pushed out. Maybe one extra defender can squeeze in.

With Gardiner the player who came in for him when he got ill I guess. Doedee is like for like for Lester if his form drops off. Not sure with Coleman but he's a definite in you would think once up to speed.

"the player" - geez, lots of respect shown there!

Lester is zero chance to be dropped.

You still haven't given me anyone for Coleman.

liked - *Brizzy busting up geelongs big party.
* Sydney get players back and hit back

learnt - when the Roo's play with confidence they make things happen.

hated - *still another week of bye's to go..
* tige's goal kicking, becoming a big problem

Liked - the lions getting themselves up for the big challenges, now to see us get some consistency! Still won't be convinced until we are winning well at home again

Learnt - the pies right now are clearly a cut above. June 29 was when the swans began their drop-off. So there is that chance i suppose. But the way they responded to St Kilda's pressure and intensity was so impressive - soaked it up, kicked clear. Still missing JDG too. Their one vulnerability would be an injury to Daicos but other than that they are so well drilled they could handle anything

Hated - watching that port and swans game. Swans were decent apart from their kicking. But Port are just unwatchable. Such a turgid game-style. You would hope Carr is going to make major changes

The skill level in general was poor from both sides in Port Adelaide and Swans. Its not a game you would want to watch on replay again thats for sure.

Liked: Carlton being Carlton
Learnt: The AFL can only do so much to get Carlton up, but when your club is shit, it’s shit.
Hated: What Curnow was going to do to his cat, after another soft performance.

Loved Norths trip away West. 1 and 1
Happy. for our former super coach Clarko.
Feel sorry for Vossy , leave him where he is, Carlton will come back.

Coll v Bris again Grand Finalists for me.Coll are dynamite then Chris Fagan's boys perform a miracle, I liked that.
Geelong had a bad night if Coll or Lions make the GF that club is who they have to remove to get to the last day in September..
Being a Hawk I have to confess that Geelong is not my favourite mob but Jeremy Cameron is a elite super player, lot of those Cats are!
But Coll v Bris again I think it's them.
Just 3 realities Coll Bris Geel
I think my boys are a year too early.

From the 5 games, I watched.

Like: Charlie Curnow coming to the game by Bicycle. Dude, literally thinks he is Alex Rance.

Learnt: Windhager is a 1 trick pony with his style of game.

Hated: The shots at goal shooting in Port Adelaide v Sydney. Right up there with one of the worst games of 2025.
2nd hate was Gold Coast wearing blue and gold. The pink looked better as an alternate strip from a few weeks back.

Liked: Cam Rayner's performance. Fine player.

Learned: Cats are either on it or when a team puts it up to them, they look a bit flaky. Still up there as one of the favourites come September. Brisbane defence was excellent. Saints showed they can play a quicker and more attacking style of football, just not against teams lower on the ladder. Swans kicking near goal is still a bit of a shambles.

Hated: Windhager fine. Dave King being a bit OTT on how he tagged Daicos 'we need to let the super stars play' Yeah, good point, Dave, unless you're a coach coming up against Daicos.

Please remember that Daicos is the first player ever to be tagged …. once other players get tagged the media will get used to it /s

Liked:
Saints looked pretty good, had a good crack and pushed Pies to step it up.

My mob stood up at the end. I may have to revise my criticism of Jerry Springer if he gets more game time and more scores. The team generally looks hungrier and harder.

Brizzy have too many stars to count, and when they all get motivated, can they be stopped? Fages cool head when media was going after them was great. He knows what's going on, the media, not so much.

Dimma's middle finger. I just like that type of thing sometimes. From beh8nd the glass.

Learnt:
Despite over reacting every week to the latest club "calamity", the media still does it and is usually wrong in their assessments. But who cares or remembers, it's entertainment and a distraction from other things.

Hated:
Referees protecting a tagger's unnecessary acts. I remember fondly Greg Williams and his methodology to deal with protagonists.

Like usual every campaigner has missed the point and pissed their pants because its Daicos. Tagging is fine and he should expect it

What impressed me. Probably impressed with Luke Jackson and Serong and Brayshaw from Freo.

Archer May had a good return, 2 goals showed a bit. Caddy doing Caddy things and nominated for mark of the week.

From other games - Brisbane kid with 5 Goals was impressive, Logan Morris.

The ability of Nasiah Wanganeen Milera to rack up the possessions, same with Noah Anderson
