Lyon being involved is the last thing Melbourne need. Despite what he thinks Gary's understanding of the actual game is fairly limited compared to most in the media. He only got the role on AFL 360 because he is in charge and placed himself there.

Correct. I actually think we need some kind of salary cap allowance in acknowledgement of what an expensive city Sydney is to live in, so that we can attract the likes of Rowell and Petracca to the club. Why has nobody thought of something like that before??

There are some real idiots who have played AFL games. Also I am talking about comparing him to other analysts, not myself or other bigfooty posters. Lyon never offers anything of value, never makes the discussion better or more in depth because of his presense.

He didn't have a spot in our best 22 because we have better running small defenders.

He was only ever consistently in the team because of injuries and he was the best fringe player, but when the list is 100%, he's a fringe player and that's what happened GF day 2023.

He's always been a handy player and I still love him, he gives everything all day.
