You've just changed your entire argument because your post was so ridiculous. Better to delete it than double down/change direction. This is the biggest cope I’ve ever seen.
Why is it Shuey and Selwood (and now Watson) stand out over everyone else? Whereas guys like Rowell and Cripps, who genuinely put their head over the ball, don’t have a name for themselves.
There’s clearly an intentional technique
You’ve posted a fair bit trying to convince yourself bud. They’re going to pay them every time. But players taking advantage of it is a dog move. Like a mankad, it’s in the rules but unsportsmanlikeYou've just changed your entire argument because your post was so ridiculous. Better to delete it than double down/change direction.
So far, I've responded to posts where people have said
1. Watson runs with bent legs
2. Watson doesn't put his head over the ball when he's picking up the ball
Just admit you hate Watson and you don't like it when he gets free kicks when he's tackled poorly.
It's ok.
Instead of frothing at the TV and mashing the keyboard, just admit this. He's a short guy, very fast and hard to tackle. Players get it wrong all the time. It's ok to admit it. It's frustrating when you want to Hawthorn to lose and it happens - but the rules say you can't tackle someone around the head.
Do you think players should be allowed to tackle a player around the head?

Leading with your head after you’ve taken possession is a fair bit different to putting your head over the ball. That’s all their is to it mate.Mate you can't explain yourself.
You're just saying ridiculous things, and when I call you back you revert to "dog act" "gutless" and all this kinda stuff.
I'm still waiting for an explanation on how a player can pick up the ball without putting their head over it.
But really it's simpler than that - you just don't like Watson. It's ok. That's part of the fun of footy. But admit you're emotionally owned by this 19 year old instead of saying ridiculous things and trying to get me to hate him as well.
Or go to the rules forum and argue your case for legalising head high tackles. That's also an option for you
You're still saying he's picking up the ball (taking possession) without putting his head over the ball.Leading with your head after you’ve taken possession is a fair bit different to putting your head over the ball. That’s all their is to it mate.
It’s irrelevant whether he does or doesn’t. The point is he intentionally keeps it down there trying to bait a free kickYou're still saying he's picking up the ball (taking possession) without putting his head over the ball.
And it's still ridiculous hahaha
If it's irrelevant - why did you say he doesn't put his head over the ball? It’s irrelevant whether he does or doesn’t. The point is he intentionally keeps it down there trying to bait a free kick
He doesn’t put his head over the ball with the right intentions. Always trying to win a free kick first and play the ball secondIf it's irrelevant - why did you say he doesn't put his head over the ball?
This is what I mean, you're blinded by how much you dislike this teenager. You're just saying random stuff that doesn't make sense.
He's super courageous and tough as hell. Saying he doesn't put his head over it is just blind criticism.
Congrats on your stupidest post yetHe doesn’t put his head over the ball with the right intentions. Always trying to win a free kick first and play the ball second
There’s a real easy solution here mate, stop watching the mighty Hawks games it’s clearly making you very upset. Maybe just watch your own side play, or is that just more upsetting? This is the biggest cope I’ve ever seen.

Both end up milking frees by no accident, yes. But at least in the case of Selwood it still remained a compatible method with continuing to run or release the footy (irrespective of free kicks). The forward pocket flopping is more like a player going down in the penalty box in soccerI agree, but it was still rorting the rules. Selwoods action just far less distasteful

But yeah, I doubt any of us have followed clubs who haven't had midfielders drawing stoppage frees or forwards exaggerating/drawing contact to earn shots at goal.
You keep saying "Selwood it still remained a compatible method with continuing to run or release the footy"
This is video is symptomatic of what Selwood used to do
Wiz rarely does this, most of time he's already too low and too fast for a defender to legally tackle without getting him high. He's actually missed a lot of legit high free kicks most players would've been awarded quite easily.
Of course I am. Giants were rolled and had no favourable decisions go their way.You are kidding.
Now go through and look at footage of the thousands of stoppages Selwood
21 yr old Joel in the '09 GF.Now go through and look at footage of the thousands of stoppages Selwood attended and see if he was giving up on the play or indeed contesting in such situations. These are where he won the majority of his high free kicks and in most instances he remained upright to continue the play after being collected.
