Scotty hates that terminology of “turning up”, but I agreeCats have turned up this week. Lions will surely wake up in the second half, like they did last round.

On the basis of last year, it's pretty evident the Cats are much better in the weather. Which is still disappointing for us, it's a wet weather game.
Cats adapting well so far but I suspect the lions to get right back into it in the 3rd
Brisbane have basically chopped the lead in half in 8ish minutes of game time.Definitely improved in the third but 18 points feels like 28 tonight.
I guess that's a symptom of a low scoring wet weather game.Brisbane have basically chopped the lead in half in 8ish minutes of game time.
See I feel the opposite, where only some stray goal kicking has stopped Brisbane already getting it back to a kick this quarter. If Geelong don't respond soon, it's only a matter of time.I guess that's a symptom of a low scoring wet weather game.
Still feels like we're quite a bit away, Cats will get momentum again at some point again. So need to get a wriggle on and start converting these i50 chances.
There's that lead gone quick smart, as predicted.Umpires have looked after us big time this quarter. Quite a few of them have been there but also some touch n go ones.
1 point game going into the final quarter. It's still anyones game but we've played much better this quarter. There's that lead gone quick smart, as predicted.![]()
Yeah but you were trying to convince me this lead felt massive and would be so hard to peg back! That quarter was circle work and Brisbane could've gone 3 goals up if clinical.1 point game going into the final quarter. It's still anyones game but we've played much better this quarter.
As per the Prelim, there isn't much seperating these two.
I guess I was wrong, although in fairness it seems the weather has dried a bit. I think Harris Andrews even said so just then.Yeah but you were trying to convince me this lead felt massive and would be so hard to peg back! Anyway, we'll see if Geelong are on the plane already or not for the final term.
As of now Brisbane's best is also just better. Since turning over a good chunk of the team from the 2022 grand final (while other remaining veterans are no longer superstars), this Cats side simply can't produce 4 quarter efforts against decent teams. Those 5 or 6 goal runs are common.I guess I was wrong, although in fairness it seems the weather has dried a bit. I think Harris Andrews even said so just then.
