Credit to the Lions for capitalising, what an absolute shambles of a quarter from the Cats. In terms of the contest I think it was still pretty even, but we just shot ourselves in the foot time and again with stupid frees (did I hear 11 for the quarter?) and horrific skill errors every time we looked like pressing forward.

Makes it 35-93 in third quarters so far in our three games by my count. Let's see if they respond... if they don't, this could get ugly.

Or SDK showing superior body work in a ruck contest to pluck it out and have a clear kick away at centre half forward, only to shin it five metres to three Brisbane players. Or Dangerfield streaming forward early in the quarter and putting his 'daisy cutter' five metres over Ollie Henry's head. Or getting a downfield free for Berry's cheap hit on SDK and turning it over so quickly, we didn't even see how it happened. Or...

Thought that was a solid game of wet weather footy. Cats probably win that game if it's down in Geelong, again there isn't much seperating the two teams.

I'm sure there will be another Prelim this year between these two. Wouldn't mind a GF either.

Better effort from the Cats this week, but another example of struggling to put four quarters together. Not worried at this stage and with a home game on Friday a good opportunity to even up the ledger.
