Mate, it wasn't the umps. Free kicks were 22-17. Not a huge difference.

If you want to know why you lost Melbourne went at 32% inside efficiency. That's absolutly woeful.

They also allowed Geelong to have 266 uncontested possessions.

Basically, Melbourne were garbage in their front half, and played bruise free footy when the Cats had the ball.

you lost me when you used the free kick count as a measurement. come on now. I'm not saying we were better. but the game was a 1-3 goal difference. the rest was umpiring. And so what about the uncontested possessions. Stewart and Humphries aren't doing damage with the chippy chip.

We played poorly, Melbourne gave a good account of themselves but almost had their score doubled.

not really. because the umps were a 6 goal difference. 6 goals added on makes it a 3 point Geelong win. And that was about where it was at. And some of the Geelong goals were pure fluke, lucky bounces of the ball. I mean, Melksham literally marked it clearly before the goal line and they go 'nah'.

Blicavs before tonight had played 273 of 295 matches since his debut. If he's out and they say its illness, then its illness. He barely if ever is injured.

They took 7 kick-ins...maybe watch the game instead of burying your head in stats. Stewart had 0 impact on the game. Same with Guthrie. Humphries was ok. All the chippy chip stuff did nothing. Melbourne's highest metres gained was May and Bowey....coincidentally the 2 guys that take kick-ins.
