Very well in 2023, thanks for asking.

Keep going, all the salt you’re producing is seasoning my chips nicely.

Go back through the decades and tell me which years had more free kicks vs others.
Mate it is just a hissy fit they are good at that at Carlton and they are angry their brown paper bags no longer work that was what they excelled in really.

I do wonder if the second half comebacks have got up to us. We went harder early and I just don't think we have anything left in the tank.

The decently sized break to the next game will do wonders.

That's my take too. A slightly off night for the Lions but now they have a 9 day break to freshen up.

If a significant loss is a reason to give up then Pies and Hawks may as well pack it up for 2025.

Well it sucked the Pies won from my tipping perspective but I gotta admit there were a number of passages of play from them that were stunning and "wow" stuff to watch. Brisbane looked shell shocked by them.

Despite my ranting,an impressive display by Collingwood in the second half.
Lions though just did not have that hunger and aggression shown in previous weeks.

Well played Pies.

I did rant a bit about umpires lol but the best team won the game.

Congrats to Jamie Elliott on 200 games.

Lions miss Daniher.

Probably a good loss for a reality check. They’ve got plenty of work to do. You’d back Fagan to sort that out.
In a way this is him sorting it out.

Gone absolutely all in on kids (as the premiers if you don't mind), had Ashcroft on Daicos for a while (got burned but you could almost see him taking notes), showing faith on his post Joe forwards.

Why not? He has some brilliant recruits, the Fletchers look promising, the Ashcrofts are top notch, they blooded another first rounder. Get the games into them

Fagan builds teams, as a Hawk assistant, as Lions coach, and he's reassembling the ship mid journey here.

Our mean old farts bullied the kids a bit, and the short breaks are very hard on younger players. Not making excuses for the Lions and very proud of the win, but this wasn't a final.

This has been underplayed how much of a loss he is.

Also, in isolation this game, I reckon Joe’s career average for goals would just about be highest vs Pies. Dined out on us his whole career.

Despite winning the first 5 games Brisbane has been flaky a few times this year and it fooled a lot us, the Lions came back to earth with a shud. i'm not so sure the Pies were that good or the Lions were that bad? All you can say is, if the Daicos boys ever get injured they will be stuffed, Fagan has some work to do!

So you’re saying your boys are so pea hearted they could not get over a bad Umpire call. Fair enough.
A?

1?

You talking about the 77 metre penalty?
Or the mark being set at 50 when mcreary marked it at 60.
Ot the non holding the ball decisions on bobby hill which led to a goal
Or the multiple throws you get away with
Or the 10 metres passes that get called marks for the pies only.

Which one are you referring to?

They came to earth with a small building?
