When has Weightman been a bitch and bawled his eyes out of the footy field?

Continues to baffle me how this line of ‘asterisk flag’ gets trotted out. I mean it’s the ultimate irony, especially from WB supporters. Had they won there’s no asterisk, right?
The asterisk means *hardest granny to win. Finished top of the ladder, didn't get to play any finals on our home ground. We won the first final by 5 goals, prelim by 10 goals and grand final by 12 goals with full length games and crowds. lol. Best team that year by a mile.

Agree.

But you’ll get dickheads still questioning it.

The best game of that year was the win at Geelong after the siren. 45 down at one point as well.

Asterisk grannies always amused me. I think the main candidates would be any granny won:
-by financial shenanigans, cap breaches etc.
-by eligitimate, unfair means such as AFL decisions that favoured one side over another.

Which clubs fall into these criteria? I suppose a lot if we include MCG favouritism.

2021 seems pretty legitimate. I think 2016 is also, refs make mistakes in ALL games. 2020? The COVID cup in which the winner had what unfair advantage? Losing their best defender in qtr 1?

I would love the grand final to be shared around different cities, I suppose that'll happen eventually, around 2080 or so, lol.

From a Richmond perspective I was very happy with Trainor, thought Gray was good for a debutant, Bamks was decent and Brown was good when he came on. Our kids are going to be okay once they've had a few more pre-seasons.

From a Melbourne point of view I thought Lindsay was very good, Petracca looked interested and if Gawn goes down they are in serious trouble. Big Maxy should probably get the 3 and 2 Brownlow votes.

Also smart move by Goodwin (never thought I'd say that seriously) to rest Max for most of the last quarter. The game was in the bag but any injury to Max will finish the Dees season so make sure he's good to play next week.

Jake Bowey has improved as a player
Last year he copped a shoulder injury (7 weeks out) and he's had a concussion before then. Pre-injuries he was playing at a really high level. I think he's just got back to where he was before really.

AHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Listen to you.

They won their second game. Their second.

Your moronic narrative doesn't change that.
He is a CFL Boy's Club member lol.
Gawn just killed the tiges once again (well played max)
some poor umpiring that totally favoured the dee's was again on show for all to see.
Richmond's kids again did well especially Dow who was great...kids just ran out of gas.
Was a Richmond man too Gawny.

I'm unclear as to why you are also trying to make this personal. The ad hom stuff in response to a simple analysis of Melbourne's performance is truly bizarre. You're not even a Melbourne supporter.
Not making anything personal but what is Bizarre is your infatuation
but hey what ever rocks your boat. enjoy

Art Vandelay_ maybe today's the day smasha gives his invited lecture on the intricacies of the CFL and it's historical development.
Don't count on it. He's like Groupie_ goes to water when challenged.
There will be no Tigers fan that can explain it despite it representing 80% of what 1 sub-forum on here talks about.

Melbourne were interesting once, in the Barrassi era, and you stole him from Collingwood so it's essentially plagiarism.
And Collingwood stole Nick Daicos from North Melbourne

When has Weightman been a bitch and bawled his eyes out of the footy field?
Poor boyd had to hang the boots up due to some friendly ribbing from his own teammates, hard to top that for sook-arseness

Hated some of that rubbish umpiring in the third quarter but credit to the Dees for making the most of their chances, if only Lynch did the same instead of spraying it so much. Gawn was huge easily BOG.
