Essendon are not good. North might actually be a sneaky outside chance for the first time since round one.
As in perhaps 5% in the unlikely event the tribunal tells the MRO he was drunk and Curtis - arguably North's main non-spud for the past month - plays. So, Essendon comfortably even if they fail to actually make it a big win.

Can the game reach past comedy into the depths of tragedy that the Port-North game did? It should be better football, and that might mean less watchable, than that train wreck of a game. Not one for the football purists, and perhaps not the Benny Hill purists. A better night for Netflix or Disney, over Seven or Kayo.

North put up a good fight against Port. The question is can they continue this fight or flop again?

It's hard to tell but I'm going with Essendon by 25 points here.

The suspension has helped shift the tables enough for the Dons to fall across the line. The Roos don't have the firepower to put on a large enough score to win this one but Essendon will never feel safe, given Norths ability to run out games.

no offence but if your chances rely on Paul Curtis than jesus christ...Essendon are worse than even i thought..

Roo's are bound to beat us eventually; this is as good a chance as they ever have had over the last many years. We are awful at the moment and that bare margin win over WCE was damning.

lol who let these 2 on prime time.
Lets hope we can play out a belter of a game and get some more of it!!

I’ve gone with north 7-20 with zero confidence but I can’t go against my team.

Bombers by 6 marshmallows!

😉

You haven't watched much north this year have you? He was in AA form IMO.

Exactly the type of forward that pastes us too.
Waterman, Keays etc.

Wardlaw & Curtis out tips this the Bombers way by 18 points for me

Norths struggling defence will struggle against
Langford , Wright , Caddy , Gresham & kako

Bombers defence should be fine against the Roo's foward line
larkey - McKay (ill give larkey 4 goals here) Ridley will chop out
Darling - Reid
Zurhaar i dont rate at all
Just cant see where the goals come from

Midfield is where its won and lock down LDU / Parker / Sheezel

Bombers 18 points

I expect Wardlaw and Curtis to be replaced as follows.

  1. Phillips in for Wardlaw.
  2. Duursma from Sub to Starting.
  3. Payne/Steven to make their debut to and be picked as Sub to cover for Curtis. The crowd shusher Konstanty might get the chop on current form. So perhaps we play both to give them a run and see who performs. Please do not pick RHJ, have seen enough to know he is not going to make it as an AFL footballer.
