season 3 what GIF

Which teams besides North have been cellar dwellers for ages?

Even Richmond and West Coast were premiers as recently as 2020 and 2018. That would be like if Southampton and Ipswich were Premier League champions a few years ago.
Saints Roos GWS GCS Port Dogs* will
never win a flag in this environment.
*Dogs flag 2016 was the greatest flag of all
time. Miracle. BUT did Beat injured interstate team from 7th.
Carlton and Essendon massive clubs - have been shite for 20 years in this rigged environment due to Marvel Stadium deal.

The EPL doesn’t have equalisation measures like the draft or salary cap.

I’m all for exposing the imbalance in the comp, where fixturing and other inequities have an outsized impact on performance and growth for small clubs like ours in favour of entrenching the “bigger” clubs.

But there is no excuse for clubs to be down the bottom of the ladder for the best part of a decade, then still complain that they aren’t as good as other teams who haven’t been. Accessing top 5-10 talents for several years and still being poor is a club problem, not a competition problem.
Father sons and academies help too.

Same rules do not apply and we can almost guarantee in this compromised comp the small shit teams will remain small and shit.

Agreed
But try telling that to the Eagles mob on their priority pick thread
Apparently it’s everyone else’s fault

This loss is totally on the coaching staff and Clarko

As David King says every week dont get beaten by what you know
Merrett is a player that hurts you with every possession and Clarko gave him 35 to cut them up
How do you not tag him.

Merrett destroyed North

Please don't quote yourself.

Sheezel is very overrated, chip scabbed off half back again and didn't even use the ball particularly well.

McKercher I rate very highly, but his lack of progression this season has gone under the radar as everyone focuses on Harley Reid.

Are you David King? Honest question.

Can see the value in Parker and Daniel, but there's surely no way Jack Darling holds his spot.

That game was begging to be won by North! Tom Powell choosing to bomb it from 60 over the easy option and then falling over from a perfect Xerri tap is the stuff that just kills you.

That's an interesting point. Mckercher was protected with his defensive role last year and is now struggling with more responsibility, whereas Reid was thriving last year and is now being protected. Both are having a severe case of the 2nd year blues, but Reid is gets all the attention because of West Coast's profile and status as a club.

No doubt , n.melb have been a disgrace but we all know you hate us, treat us as your g.final, to put 12 in a row ? Deplorable.
It really, really isn't. They've been deplorable. Essendon have been okay. A losing streak is completely unsurprising and unnotable. It is kind of sad that you care enough to make this reach. It's North Melbourne, for chrissake.

We can’t treat it like a grand final because we know you wouldn’t even win an elimination final.

Hard for us to get mentally up, knowing that.

They have their own dedicated thread to Essendon, you obviously don’t get the depth of the hate they have for us. Ask them, they’ll tell you.
It’s their GF.

There was a cluster**** of stuff ups that led us to where the club is now.
Including Heath Shaw having mental break and quitting as coach
Appointing a terrible president/ceo and untried coach in Noble
Cutting the list way to deep
Covid hub
Clarko racism bs
JHF leaving
Only winning 16 games in 5 ****ing years

I'm honestly not sure what the answer is but it's obvious there are mental demons on some of players of who have been there for a lot of that.
This time last year, you were 0-8 and almost none of the games had been competitive. And you'd go on to have 3 more beltings before finally winning a match.

1-7 with a % of 76 and a couple of 'almost' games is still a lot better than where you were a season ago. I'm sure it's immensely frustrating, but you're getting there.....
