See. This is how Fake News happens! You are just repeating the bullshit made up by the 1st guy..

Easter Monday, Geelong won the frees 22-15 I will even post the link.

You lads need to move on
That is crazy that you tried to get away with posting a 2020 match off as the 2025 one.

Got fisted in the ass like I expected.

Thought Sic was a jerk but I do love to watch him play and would be happy for any Tiger to do it also, so whatever. Thought the 50m wasn't necessary though given the context.

Don't give a toss about the umpires. They were never going to play a part in this result.

Thought the hawks would be good this year (no cliff) and am correct. Enjoy watching them play with a good mix of youthful enthusiasm tempered by some maturity from veterans. Fun to watch.

People need to actually deep dive into gameplay and statistics before claiming 'freekickhawthorn' is a thing.

Yes, we have the highest free kick differential so far in 2025.
We do have the highest amount of 'free kicks for' per game at 23/game. However, we only have 0.3 more free kicks per game than GC, and 0.5 more than Carlton. Not exactly a statistical outlier.
We have the lowest amount of 'free kicks against' per game. Here with 15.8/game we are a slight outlier, with the next lowest being the Dogs at 17.6.

Looking elsewhere, Hawthorn has the highest possession differential in the competition. Having 33 more than our opponent per game on average. We have the ball in our hands more often - where it is much harder to give away frees.
Despite this, we are still positive for tackle differential, having 2.4/game more than our opponent (we are 6th, GWS leads this stat with 8.9 more tackles per game).

So, we have the ball more often than our opponent, and despite this we still record more tackles.

Opposition teams (not just Richmond) have clearly been told by their coaches to target the man against the Hawks.
You can definitely see it with how Sicily has been treated so far, in addition to others such as D'Ambrosio, Watson and Day (before the injury).
This is going to lead to more free kicks given away by the opposition.

Instead of not watching the game and complaining about the statistics after the fact - actually watch a Hawthorn game and you'll see that most of the free kicks we receive are actually there (whether or not you agree with the 'Selwood' arm movement), and we are disciplined without the ball - so we give away less in the other direction.

The funny thing is the “Wizard” hasn’t achieved nothing in his career and likely never will. His day will come, taunting a rebuilding side will come back to haunt him. I can’t ****ing wait to see the dees beat them next week and hopefully Steven May accidently cleans him up, nothing dirty but enough to shut him up for the rest of the game. Absolute flat track bully.
Steven May has other things to worry about

Has been waiting patiently for his turn.

Honestly, I think he does more for the team than Nash, and I hope he keeps the spot when Nash's suspension ends.
I agree, Hustwaite is a natural footballer. Some of his touches were very impressive. With some more size, confidence and games he will be much better than Nash.
