The hype and buildup for this game promises to be huge - especially in Queensland.

I’m hoping we’ll even start hearing some of those “NRL has been pushed off the back page in Queensland this week” reports coming through.

Great for footy to see a QClash final.

Lot of talk about how good Rowell and that other guy were but expecting Touk Miller will be the one to grab this one by the balls.

Tipping Suns here lions are just banged up.
This will be close.
Each to belt each other up.
But i can still see lions still getting the job done.
But suns are in better shape.
Suns by 2 points.
Bruising encounter.
Expect injuries to come out of this one also weather forecast for wet weather as well at the gabba.
Hard slog game this one.

Get your head out ya ass. The broncos are in the top 4, theres no chance that the afl will get more than half a page, three pages deep.

After 12 Lions wins in the last 14 QClashes, this is our moment to plant the flag in the sand and say no more!. Our boys are well aware of the fact that we haven't beaten Brisbane at the Gabba since 2018 and that this is our best opportunity to send a message up the M1 that you're not going to bully us anymore. We will probably never get another opportunity to beat our arch rivals on their home turf in a final while they are the defending premiers. Also, because of the way finals tickets work and it cancelling out reserved seating for the home team, we're going to see far more Suns fans in the stands than we would under normal Gabba QClash circumstances. We have 30k members this year so here's hoping for a near 50/50 crowd at the 36k capacity Gabba.

LET'S F*CKING GO!!!

Lions fans going hard with the injury card excuse.

Sure, Neale and Payne are big omissions but come on, guys like McCarthy, Coleman & Doedee have not played for years and were completely irrelevant to last years premiership win.
And Hipwood will be pushed out of the forward line by Allen next year.

Gold Coast's Graham, Clohesy and Ballard have had more of an immediate impact.

Hipwood is a very important part of our forward structure. There's also Answerth

No they aren't.
Daniher's retirement put an end to such talk.
Two-way players like that are rare.

It took an almighty miracle for you to win the grand final last year as you aren't that much better than the next best. Certainly not as good as what the media made you out to be. Can't see you getting near the grand final this year or next.
WOW that’s a huge chip you’re carrying on your shoulder about losing last year and the lions. Our final series was amazing! We’re not giving any excuses - we’re realist - we have injuries to key players and it showed us up on Friday night and your team was great on the night,

Cats on the other hand didn’t make the finals after you were last premiers - you finished 12. Media claims you’ve had a soft draw this year and you’ve managed your players really well.

Whatever happens this week - I’m proud of our year, players and club.

Lions battered and bruised, have battled through the season. I think it is the Suns by 10 points and if so will be off to the MCG to face Collingwood and their near 100,000 fans.

The Lions might've got bashed up against Geelong, but at times they showed they still have it, they will still be too good for the Suns by 40 points
The Suns beat the lions not long ago by 11 goals without Miller and Rioli and with the addition of Graham will head into the match full strength while Brisbane are banged up and missing arguably their best player. This will be a tight contest and a great night for QLD footy

Yes, i noticed the Suns had two good performances against the Lions this year, but i can't see the Lions losing like they did last Friday again two weeks in a row? It might be closer than 40 points, but i wonder if the Suns have already played their Grand Final in Perth?.

Just because you aren't being rated highly by someone doesn't mean they are carrying a chip on their shoulder.

And am not sure what the relevance of the fixture has to do with it.
Brisbane's fixture last year was rated one of the easiest in the competition. Is there something to this?
Brisbane won 4 finals from 5th. It was a huge effort.

However this year you could be right. They are definitely injured and it’ll be a big task going back to back. Monstrous if they do it.

Geelong supporters, including yourself, rightfully point out that Holmes going down in the prelim final last year had a pretty impact on Geelong's chances of winning that game last year. Neale is a dual Brownlow medalist that was still our best midfielder coming into this year, and is still our second best midfielder. He is evidently a huge loss.

Hipwood won't be pushed out by Allen. We're still playing Sam Day, who was essentially retired this time last year. Issue is that we're lacking KPF depth, so he's being replaced by a first year KPF.

Answerth is also a big loss, especially against a side like Geelong who have elite half forwards.
