Absolutely it was. No doubt about it.
Might want to let Heeney know because he was chumming it up with Florent post-game. He clearly didn't think one of his best mates and business partner deliberately kneed him in the head.

Was surprised and then unsurprised.

The Blues were excellent in Q1 and again when challenged in Q2. They made the Swans look terrible for most of the first half. Come out and kick the first couple of goals after half time and you'd think momentum will carry the Blues from here. Once the Swans decided that fumbling isn't a good strategy, they made the Blues look slow and lazy.

demondavey has one for them winning the flag
You’ve got to put them out there. As in you’ve got to have a crack at predictions so the losers on BF have someone to have a crack at so they feel tough and relevant. If you get it right they back track and slink off, if you get it wrong they throw barbs at you and call you this and that.

Tough guy stuff.

I’ll happily eat humble pie if you’re right.

If the Swans turn out to be a powerhouse against this season it will be sad for the AFL. The lazy outdated mentality of throwing bags of cash at a big forward shouldn't be rewarded.

This isn't even bias, I want to see teams rewarded for good holistic team building. Not this ugly New York Yankees/Real Madrid mentality
Not sure where to start with this one. Still happy with it the day after?
They could throw massive dollars at second rate role players, but Carlton have a mortgage on that.

Sydney will be right there top 4 for sure.
they will be but beating a bottom 4-6 team isn't much of a guide. Swans played very badly early but as soon as they starting working hard, they exposed Carlton as an average team with a bad coach.

shame AFL continues to waste prime time on teams like Carlton (until they prove themselves).

I quite enjoy watching Carlton in prime time.

I am hoping our awful skills in the first half was just a result of it being the first game of the season, rather than something we can expect to see in later rounds too. That is my hope anyway.

Stating the obvious but Gulden is comfortably top five in the comp. Unbelievably good footballer.
He was already elite but the new fast game styles now will suit him, Naicos, Butters, Smith etc of the league massively. It’s great to watch when it all works too.

Flag favourites? Smith > Daicos? Smith to win Brownlow? You seriously treat whoever spouts nonsense like that on SEN as representative of Carlton fans as a whole? Come on man
It’s hard not to when so many of them call up and discuss it with a serious tone and demeanor.. I know it’s something you would expect on the Krusty the clown show, but they meant it man

Not really.

The AFL had no reason to bring up the Bondi event, but it had to have it's "me too" moment.

It was the equivalent of having a second funeral three months after someone passed away.
'No reason' JFC... Shame on the Swans for honouring their fans who were brutally murdered just for being Jews... You need help mate.

Yep, AFL is annoying the way they feel they need to get involved in every social issue. Just run the damned game, there are those of us who watch sport to escape political issues.
