After all these years, players still haven't learnt to tackle plodder Pendlebury. Just aim for the hips but players are instead ball watching.

AFL is truly elite...

How did Essendon beat Melbourne?
The biggest difference between the 2 matches was how clean Essendon were against Melbourne. For all the crap that the commentators dribbled about how quickly Essendon fell away a bigger part of that loss was how poorly they handled Collingwood's pressure in the first 2.5 quarters. Little fumbles and double grabs that cost them time and meant the next possession was more pressured.

Like the Melbourne game, Collingwood made a lot of mistakes by foot early. Against Melbourne, because of how clean Essendon were, they were able to put enough score on the board that they were still in touch when Melbourne got a little run on. We've seen plenty of times that this Essendon side will break once margins start to blow out. Essendon did enough to put enough score on the board to keep the game close against Melbourne which kept the belief up. The falling away was inevitable once Collingwood stopped making errors and the margin got big enough that the mental fragility was exposed.

There are too many bad sides in the comp for Collingwood to fall below a wildcard spot this season.

The Pies have only beaten one good side since May 2025 (vs Adelaide, 2025 QF). That's the issue. Hopefully they knock off the Hawks next week.
Yeah I doubt we get near the hawks

Pendles is a freak what the ****

He’s 38 and still managed more disposals than his age.

42 with 14 contested
1 goal 1 goal assist and 17 ****ing score involvements which is about 40% of his disposals leading to scores.

50% of his teams scores he’s been involved in.
He thinks he's 28

Hawks maybe but not pies, too slow, will get exposed againts better skilled teams.

I can't see a more skilled team than Collingwood. Stars on every line, the (third) best coach in the league. Don't get me started on the Daicos brothers, they are to football to what The Proclaimers are to music!!!

Collingwood are back in town

Hawks v Magpies grand final

TAKE IT TO THE BANK
4 wins so far this year against

St Kilda (13th) +12 points
GWS (14th) + 33 points
Carlton (16th) + 5 points
Essendon (17th) + 77 points

I'm sure the rest of the competition is quaking in their boots :p

I didn’t see the game was at local football , how did Ben McKay go?

Sarcasm duly noted
