Are Port starting to turn the corner? I wonder if Carr is starting to get them clicking.

Port played a extremely high risk style tonight plenty of turnovers with one handball to many but Geelong were so poor they were not able to punish on the turnover.

Their ball movement was electric tonight and they tackled like they were possessed.

Cats losing to the pretenders WoW even Port fan will admit they no good.
Hinkley was very good at building relationships with players but had no idea tactically. Carr is much better tactically but will take time to build that rapport and trust from the players.

Suspect Port will scare a few sides come end of the year. This isn't as big an upset as people would have you believe.

Ports last 2 weeks have been good.

Not a team to take lightly.

Showdown next week should be good.
I have a feeling Port will pump us.

Carr looks like a reasonable coach and his game plan looks like it's finally clicking.

Race to be the underdog.

Adelaide topped the H&A ladder last year. Played very well on a difficult fixture to date.
How can you not be confident of winning next week?

We've mostly been bog average this year thanks to our coach and his risk-adverse gameplan.

You obviously started very poorly, but it's pretty evident that Carr's game plan is going and is getting the best out of everyone there. JHF looks like he'll finally develop into the elite player we all knew he was capable of being.

People don't have Geelong as a top side yet. I think we'd still need to beat a contender(s) (Brisbane/GC/Sydney/Fremantle in future fixtures) before that changes.

The Port, NM and Collingwood games all loom as banana peels before then - if we get through those unscathed we'd be in a decent position.
You didn’t include the hawks in your list of contenders
They are probably the favourites in my opinion
Beaten swans, gc and the cats with a negative 12 free kick effort by the umpires.
Great backline, power forwards
Midfielder -1 is their only short fall

Glad we can watch it on free to air…. Oops sorry that’s Bulldogs Freo game. So arguably a ripping game of footy the whole country should watch is hidden away in subscription TV on a double up evening. The AFL and Dillon are the most useless organisation going.

We beat Port at AO and they thrash Geelong there...it just goes to show the gap between sides is smaller than ever (besides basically a couple). I still think Port are a bottom 6 side, but they are at least showing some fight.

Another cat shat himself
We'll definitely lose another game or two, but I can't see why we can't have a 21-3 season this year. Obviously not likely, but maybe not as unlikely as it usually seems.
I got the Hawks only losing 4. Like Adelaide last year, they have been kissed on the dick with the draw
