Our biggest advantage will be Larkey, Trembath and Darling against Melican, Edwards, and... Hamling? Rampe?

In any case, clearly we're the underdogs, but if our tall forwards can get separation, and if we can ensure Blakey isn't just doing what he pleases, who knows - we could have a game on our hands.

No your biggest advantage will be the 20-25 minute head start the Swans will give you in the midfield. They are starting shabbily most weeks. Make hay while the sun shines and it could be more than winnable. Don't and and it might be hard going. May have to kick 100 to win.

Ha. I hope we aren't counting on that eventuating. I expect the midfield contest will be compelling though.

X v Grundy alone will be worth the price of entry. Wouldn't be surprised if Grundy comes out on top at the centre, and then Xerri in stoppages.

Surely FOS gets a job on Heeney around the centre. Not sure what we do if/when he goes forward though.

It'll be interesting to see how many of our four ex Swans get called up for the game too. Stephens and Parker would be sure things. Unsure about Pink and Konstanty though.

Curnow v Logue feels a bit dicey, but honestly the part of this game that concerns me the most is ensuring we have the right matchup on and defensive midfield structure around Blakey so he can't just bite off the corridor everytime the balls coming out of our forward line. I wanna see that lanky bastard have to bang it long down the line.

Sydney by 22 from the model. North have been better than expected but Sydney's forward line is hard to contain at Marvel.

Sheezel gets a great matchup here for SC/Fantasy. Projected 116 SC / 113 AF in what should be an open game. If you need a R9 captain option outside the rucks he is worth considering.

Tipping he is rested. Has been sore for a couple of weeks now and then had to take on Gawn & Heath by himself and come out on top. With that effort he is only going to be a bit worse for wear as he could barely move in the last few minutes when Melbourne rallied. Only my opinion but have a feeling it may be Ladhams this week.

Curnow is out with abdominal

my bet would be Ladhams comes in for Curnow as support for Grundy

Curnow out is huge. Like der, statement of the obvious, but it is magnified in this one I reckon.

I don't care how much we win by, just as long as it's by a controversial incident.
North leads by 4. With two minutes left in the final quarter, Duursma takes a mark of the year contender 35 metres out. He kicks truly.

But, as every goal is nowadays, its reviewed upstairs. There's a spike on the ARC. The spike is caused by Rampe shimmying up the goal post. Its apparent to everyone on the ground there's a clear foot of daylight between Rampe's fist, the goal post, and the ball. But the arc only sees the spike - so the goal is overturned.

Whateley is in the commentary box pontificating something or other about the false god of technology.

Chaos ensues on the field below. A North runner, believing a goal has been kicked, has run out onto the field with save the lead instructions. But now he finds himself directly in Blakey's path as he's running out of the goal square. Sydney bench erupts, calling for interference.

"Fifty metres, Sydney"

Konstanty is on the bench, desperately trying to get on-field, whistles to Spargo to get off. Luke McDonald, who's running 15 metres ahead of Blakey, trying to clear the protected area, hears the whistle, and mistakenly believes he has to stand.

Another 50.

Meanwhile, Will Edwards, the third-gamer, who no North player has bothered matching up on, has somehow sneaked into his forward fifty, and finds the one unguarded space left.
