That's a bit of a "I don't understand football" comment. All star players have a habit of snowballing their impact throughout a best 22.

Much like any elite players Collingwood are missing, these player change the fortunes of clubs on a whim. They also allow for a much higher tolerance for when shit goes wrong.

I agree with this, but Adelaide were handily beaten and it would have taken a 30+ 3+ goal performance from Rankine to be the difference.
