The Lions will be badly undermanned, so this will be a genuine audit of their depth. The Bloods won’t get away with another poor first half against such a quality side, so will need to get their running game going well before 3/4 time.

Couldn’t believe it when I saw the line was Brisbane +15.5. They lost only two H&A games by more than two goals all of last year. I just can’t bring myself to expect that a midfield containing Dunkley, Neale, and Ashcroft is gonna get trounced. Beaten by a couple goals, maybe, but not thrashed.

We will have to play Joyce and ZZ in defence.

I’m extremely wary. We were god awful in the first half last week before steamrolling a side that, with all due respect, doesn’t have anything close to the talent or depth of the Lions.
