Any chance at all this might be a danger game for Freo?
In theory, but don’t see how their back 6 hold up against Freo forwards. Stranger things have happened, but they’ll need to smash Freo out of the middle. Don’t think it will be a shellacking, Dons have actually looked very good in spells recently.

Fair take. Essendon can look genuinely dangerous for 15–20 minute bursts, then completely lose control of the game. If they can get first use and keep the pressure up around stoppages, they’re a chance. But over four quarters, Freo probably have too much class and structure.

You are talking about Freo !!!.

Win the un-winnable, lose the un-loseable.

Having said that, Freo by 28 points.
My concern was based on the fact that last week the Bombers were leading at halftime, against a team who’s a win away from the top 10 and 2 wins away from the 8.
Having said that, Freo by 17 points.

Danger game for the Dockers who don’t want to be the next Melbourne in losing to Essendon.

If Fremantle play well it’s a 15 goal win. If they don’t, the door is open for an upset.

Freo will find 3rd gear and win by 7 goals.

Yep, I agree on the 7 goals compared to the 15. We have a 5 day break before our next game after this so I expect it to be close for a half with Essendon getting a jump early, Freo put the foot down in the 3rd and then cruise in the last to a comfortable win but not a smashing.

I expect our fans to probably end up more upset than the Bombers ones. They have a good record against us in Melbourne but I think we will be switched on more since we want to be winning at the G.

Bit of a wet day at the MCG today might make things closer.
Still going with Freo to win this tho by around say 18 points
