Whoever made this fixture should be sacked, the Crows coming off a 14 day break and Geelong just 5!! The Crows will be too strong for the limp Cats who have been exposed. Crows by 32points

One of the more easy games you will ever get to tip the correct result. Geelong by 4 goals. They own the crows. have done so for the best past of 20 years (apart from 2017 prelim final night)
Tom Stewart to clean up and J Cameron to boot 5. very predictable

The bigger blunder is we played the Crows only 10 weeks ago, and our 3rd Adelaide trip in 9 weeks.

We play Crows, Freo, GC and Lions twice before we play the other third of the competition.

Ridiculous fixture.

Just when Geelong entice you into thinking they could be the real deal, they go and do what they did on the weekend.

I think Adelaide will be desperate this week. Another loss here and top four hopes is nearly out of the equation.

Crows by 10 points.

Adelaide have a very ordinary prime time home record at AO, esp against Geelong and have not beaten them on a Thursday night since an upset victory in 2018. Their last win vs Geelong was early in 2021 on a warm Saturday in Round 1. I'm not impressed about how we have played this season, a few injuries, midfield struggles, defenders struggle esp in the back half against good sides but despite those struggles they usually don't quit and will probably keep the game close. I think they'll just get outplayed but a better side who are keen to make up for last season's GF loss. Geelong won by 19 points last season although Adelaide put up a good fight, they will repeat the same result. It will be close throughout but Geelong will pull away to win by 20pts.

Must win game for Adelaide, but I just cannot see how we can get it done. I don't think we're good enough to beat the best. I don't think our coach is that great as well and as I said our players can panic under pressure, this playing 4 quarters mentality and we give away too many goals through free kicks because of defensive panic.

This is why it's very much 50/50. I also think Dawson, Berry, Curtin, Rachele, Peatling can get on top of Holmes, Smith, Atkins, Mullin & Dempsey.
Rain making it 50;50 would very much be against trend. if it were to occur

tl;dr Geelong shit in the heat. rank highly in all of cold, windy and wet conditioned matches.
Adelaide have one of the worst wet game records from 2022 to when that was published late June last year.

Pretty sure Geelong would rank highly in most categories considering how often we win.

I would much prefer to face Adelaide in perfect conditions.

It's true. We are terrible in the heat. In downpours or slightly damp conditions we tend to lift. Although often those are in Geelong.

As would I.
I guess the distinction will be 'rain'. Will it be rainy or will it be torrential.

Torrential conditions decrease scoring to the point where games remain inherently close.
A bit of rain to make it a bit slippery and I'd back our wet weather football over theirs 9 times out of 10.

I would be looking at resting Miers with that forecast though. Partially torn ACL with wet conditions doesn't sound like a good mix.

Hopefully Crows get the chocolates purely for the Catman idiocy afterwards.
