Really??

Larkey missed set shot and then Simpkin spraying away on his left and the margin would have been nearly 50 with 15 mins to play

Good effort from the bombers to fight back but they were never winning that.
Essendon had more inside 50s and six more behinds, but hey, North missed two goals, lmao. If you really think we couldn’t have pinched that, you’re kidding yourself. Nobody is saying we deserved to win or were the better team in any way, I’m simply saying they probably wouldn't be too happy with that win, expecially how they finished which is a known issue for them.

It’s strange in a world where we want our own players to be better than others but I really enjoy watching the top three of the 2024 draft. Each excellent in their own way.
I can enjoy all the good players from all Clubs...well maybe not Hawthorn.

FOS is certainly good to watch. Plays the right kinda footy.

rather ugly win for the roos
but 4 points is 4 points
And now the pressure mounts down in essendon land.

I can't believe that North even celebrated that win, they should be embarrassed.
When we've only won 3 games a year on average for thr last 6 years, we haven't much choice.

Crowd around me was genuinely laughing st both teams. Deplorable skills by both - if they merged, still wouldn't have a side that could make finals.

Simpkin's post-skipper (and post-failed trade request) attitude is notably awful

I hope he's not in the best 23 by season's end for North's sake, you've got all these hungry and ultra-talented youngsters and then you've got this senior player making deflating and lazy decisions all game long.
99% of our supporters hope he's not in the team next week, let alone by year's end.

To be honest Essendon losing is something so common and so frequent that just isn't a big deal anymore at this stage.

The list is obviously really poor but when is that thin ice Brad Scott is skating on finally going to crack?

FOS

And Wardlaw may be the best of the lot, he just needs a run at it
Colby wasn't great tonight. Wardlaw only 50% TOG.

But without FOS, we don't win. Kinda sad that the result hinges on a second year kid, playing on the oppos best.
