Losing their first two home games didn’t help.Nicks needs to address the psychological damage the players incurred from being minor premiers to going out in straight sets, last year. He's probably brushed it under the rug, but it's clearly humiliated the group to the point they're back to losing close games again.
Does the player have to be on the wing?Did Fremantle receive a 6-6-6 warning at any stage during the game? Immediately after Treacy's goal (6.34 left on the clock) they had no player on the wing but somehow the umpires missed it. The player not being there had no effect on the game since there was a repeat throw up, but potentially a missed Adelaide centre free if they'd been warned earlier

Or a DEI policy.Only thing they cant do is run a camp.
Getting 100 games….. hopefully his personal life nets the crows a few good f/s picks down the trackI don't want to be mean and single anyone out...
But....
...Chayce Jones bad name is the least of his problems.. He's absolutely terrible at football.
How is he on a list still?
Crows aren't top 6 list if this guy is getting a game.
Why change now? You seem to have had quite a good time playing with yourselves "Since 1994"Did what we had to do
Hopefully can play some decent opposition soon

I have no idea if that is true, but in a convoluted labyrinth of missed frees and incorrect frees given throughout the game across various passages of play and moments of pressure, this is definitely one that should be highlighted and looked into.Did Fremantle receive a 6-6-6 warning at any stage during the game? Being better than two bottom 5 sides isn't any consolation. We're still in no man's land.Ah well at least we aren't Carlton or Port
After something like 5 years of rebuilding, should be climbing up the ladder again not going backwards to losing close matches again, third match in a row that's happened, alarm bells, now.Ah well at least we aren't Carlton or Port
Haha, so true!Only thing they cant do is run a camp.
When in essence the outcomes were the same with similar play patterns. Freo and Geelong both should have buried Adelaide but poor goal kicking kept them in it. So while some can argue unlucky to be 1-3 it could be argued they we lucky not to be well beaten in the last two games.
Good prediction.I have a feeling Freo. Just look way more dangerous up forward, and their mids are on fire. Ergo defence. Crows just haven't looked threatening at all, a bit sick of their low Ross Lyon style defensive slog. Hope Nicks is shown the door sooner rather than later.
Sort of correct. I knew it was gonna be a close game. I will take the win. Crows were very unlucky TonightSeason slipping away a bit if the crows lose this. imo they put up a good effort but freo run away with the game in the last qtr.
Not saying thats the case. Purely mentioning it because it was a weird one and a howler from the umpires. It had no effect on the game whatsoever but just another example of them dropping the ball.I have no idea if that is true, but in a convoluted labyrinth of missed frees and incorrect frees given throughout the game across various passages of play and moments of pressure, this is definitely one that should be highlighted and looked into.![]()
Not trying to rub salt on the crows wounds. I dislike any close losses, especially late in he season.Losing the close ones at home is never a good sign for a contender. 1-3 puts you on the back foot early. Geelong, Fremantle and the Bulldogs all smashed them in general play for long periods.
The Crows have now lost 4 home games in a row I.e every time a decent team came to town.
They might make the top 6 but it's naive to call it likely right now.
It was weird tonight. I felt the dockers were dead and buried midway in the 4th quarter. Then dockers found a way to win.First round pick in 2018. You know... a couple picks ahead of some kid named Zak Butters.
Second game in a row at Adelaide Oval that Alex Pearce has made a massive play in the dying seconds to get Freo the win.
Maybe.... I would be more confident with a prime Jeremy McGovern or Ashley McIntosh or Darren Glass in a marking contest. But that's my personal opinionJobe Shanahan would have marked it for sure
All he had to do was slot it in the middle... ****ed it harder than Mr Gimlet.Finbar Saunders
Also Crows have regressed since last year and Dockers improved. I predicted Adelaide to finish 6-8, and Dockers 3-5.Good prediction.
History when it comes to dockers vs crows games in Adelaide , especially in Adelaide oval era from 2014 onwards, here's 3 outcomes.
1. Dockers win narrowly like 2021 and 2022
2. Crows won narrowly like 2012 semi final and in 2019
3. Crows won heavily like the infamous 2009 game at footy Park where Freo kicked 1 goal or in 2017 when crows won 143-43.
I knew tonight was gonna be close
