I've actually been quite complimentary of West Coast so far this year, you guys have a good young list, it'll be a few years before they get going, but all the tools are there.

It's a bit of harmless banter mate, lighten up. I'd be conserving my energy too against Geelong if I were West Coast, gonna need it for their Grand Final next week

Nothing to over-compensate for, it happens both ways, same thing happened when you guys got on your 11 game win streak over us, just two teams on different roads, you guys were contending and we were rebuilding, it's just reversed now.

I think they'll probably rest Yeo another week or so, don't want to bring him back to early so we lose him for even longer. We have a stretch of winnable games after the derby so they might be saving him for that. He's been very good and is an important part of our team but he has not had a good run and as a result I think they keep in bubblewrap

Interesting to try and refer to the Derby as West Coast's Grand Final considering West Coast have won ACTUAL Grand Finals and its actually Freo supporters who celebrate Derby wins like its a premiership (and its also the only trophy they can get their hands on)
