The status of English/Libba/Richards will be a big factor.

The Cats could bring Dangerfield back, along with J.Henry, Blicavs and Martin.

Stengle will be coming back through the VFL, it seems.

Bulldogs supporters rightly see their team as a red hot shot in this - moreso than they did against Hawthorn.

It'll be a reasonable marker to see where the Cats are at. 4-2 after this run would be a solid result. 3-3 and a few too many cracks are showing.

tough mission for the doggies especially with a mounting injury list

Dogs were very disappointing against the Hawks, they have been hit with injury and the replacements haven't done the job. 2 weeks ago i would've tipped the Dogs, but i think the Cats will get this week by 3 goals!

It will be interesting to see how the umpires cope with their two darlings.
I’m tipping the cats to rebound, they only got 1 extra free kick this week.
Hurt that plus 10 average.

irony

The side that gets 32-11 advantage last time we played.

This should have been played at Marvel for sure.
Tipping Dogs here in a tight scrap and atone for last week.
Dogs win by 14 points
Timmy, Geelong don't play home games at carpark Marvel like your beloved Pies.

Why would a Cats home game be held at the opposition's home ground? That's beyond dumb thinking. I'd half consider the G, but not Marvel. Then again why shouldn't the Cats play this at home, and why do their supporters have to travel and hour into Melbourne?

more the fact that dogs are sick of playing @ Geelong. Can't remember the last time dogs played a home against the cats. The last time the dogs played a home game against the cats was in 2023. Gotta question the fairness as usual. The 2024 gathering was considered the Dogs' home game. Funny, this year's game, Hawks vs Dogs, was considered a Hawthorn home game, yet Dogs have to play Hawks again at the MCG later in the year.

Every club has unfairness stuff with draws it ain’t changing. Unless you want to play each team twice which will never happen.

We've been fixtured to play in Geelong for 12 of the past 13 seasons (I say fixtured because the game was moved in 2020 due to covid), with 2018 the only year that was missed. On the flipside the match-up has been played at Marvel 5 times over that period, with 1 game in Adelaide for Gather Round.

It's a shit repetitive fixture for the Dogs (even if we've finally won a couple down there in recent times) that's almost as certain as Collingwood vs Essendon on ANZAC Day.

Ignore Gather Round though - these games are neutral, with home/away designation nominal only and used for uniforms and dressing room allocation.

We never seem to double up either, do we? That would be one easy way to do it. Freo, Adelaide, Gold Coast and Brisbane took those slots from the good teams this season.

Our 1 or 2 Marvel games each year end up being against St Kilda or North Melbourne. Essendon and Carlton they stick us at the G, then the Dogs just make their annual trip to Geelong.

Do you think we enjoy playing the same clubs in Geelong and having to lumber up the highway for certain clubs deemed too valuable. It disrespects our club and it disrespects all the vic clubs not deemed worthy of that special service.

Easy fix to this problem Carlton, Collingwood, Richmond, Essendon and Hawthorn travel to Geelong and then you, NM, St.K, and all the interstate clubs would travel here a little less frequently. I hate it.

As an example; this propensity to have certain clubs avoid Geelong has been around for 2-3 decades but what has changed is we've gone from 7 games at home early 2000s to now having 10. 2000-2018 we played 96 games at Docklands (just over 5 games a season). 2019-2026 is 11 games - inc. 1 this year (1.4 per season). So we don't play you as the home team at Docklands anymore and given 6 of the 11 games we play away will be interstate. Hawthorn, Pies, Blues away every 2nd year not many fixtures left.

BS that the AFL should be addressing for everyone's fairness.

Richmond travel to Geelong.
Don't ever put us in that basket.

Respond to my question. Now that I know you can answer me answer my PM.
And you've travelled 3 times since 2012.

This will be the Dogs 12th visit since 2012 and 6th season in row.
St.K 9 times since 2012.
NM 9 times since 2012.

Sounds like English, Libba and Richards are very close to being cleared.

But Naughton and Budarick are touch and go
