Not denying that the Bulldogs are missing some structurally important players, but I just find it annoying when the Bulldogs injury list is used as a reason for their loss, but ignoring that Sydney are missing our two best players due to injury, both of whom play in the midfield which does blunt our attacking options in said midfield a lot.
It's not really making a big difference because you have other guys stepping up to fill the breach. Only time you couldn't cover their loss was against us but you weren't far away.

Take out any teams 2 best midfielders and it is going to have an effect.

Again though, not saying that Sydney have worse injuries than the Bulldogs, just that Sydney's injuries need to be taken into account and not completely ignored like the commentators did today when talking about why the Bulldogs lost by 60+ points.

It sort of did make a huge difference. JMac had to go even more inside and was let’s just say mediocre tonight. Chad was off with the daisys all night long. It’s why we just need to get through the next 6/7 before Errol is back, I don’t trust Chad one single bit if he has to shoulder the load

Oh right OK... our only 2 key defenders, best tall forward, our other tall forward with a neck injury tonight, our best small forward, our most improved small forward, our only experienced ruckman and probably second most important player, and 3 of our midfielders clearly playing injured.

But go you, brave effort from Sydney tonight.

The Dogs supporters who have an ounce of spirit in them are going to bemoan their shocking injury pile up - that's normal. It isn't a personal attack on Sydney's credentials. The Swans are missing 2 stars but the backups in the midfield and wing positions go alright. The Bulldogs like for like replacements and underdone players are going to struggle against a contender. None of this is to say they would beat Sydney at full strength, but teasing the guy having a tantrum about those injuries is unnecessary.

The fact you even mentioned Naughton is pretty disingenuous considering the game was well and truly over by the time he got injured. His injury had nothing to do with the result.

I mentioned him for going forward. Surely you aren't that tone deaf... though you are a Sydney supporter so anything is possible

Given the fact we are missing our two best players I am relieved at how well Sydney played today.

We all expected a big loss. You Sydney supporters really are a clueless floggy bunch

Maybe go have another bitch about 2016. View attachment 2591496

We haven't even said anything that bad, we have not gloated in any way. You just seem to be having a meltdown over nothing.

I hadnt heard of that rule before. That you have to jump.
It was front on contact. Don't have to jump but the speed he went in that by not jumping he took Naughton's legs out from under him

Gotta admit, I didn't understand the glaze the Doggies got this year. They finished outside the finals last year (albeit in a close ladder), but the footy public seemed so ready to endorse them as a top team, without seeing runs on the board. Defo a media darling. St Kilda in the same camp after spending like drunken sailors in the off season.

We all know Bont is amazing & Richards is a very very good footballer... but for mine... Darcy was anointed as the next big thing before he had done a lot. However the best 23 falls away pretty badly in terms of quality, which has been shown by the inability to cover these recent injuries. Losing Jamarra and Smith really stuffed the momentum they had a few years back.

I can't see them recovering to play a meaningful part this season.

Wonder how Hawthorn would go missing their entire spine. It's not just. "Some injuries".

Maybe people should not comment when they have absolutely no idea so they don't look so stupid

I gotta say, since I’m a pie and 90% of my in-laws are insufferable dog fans, I can’t stand the dogs, however the last 2 weeks have been utter carnage for them, watching Darcy go down brought tears to my eyes, the kid is a champion in the making, he will be a huge star, I don’t like seeing injuries like that full stop, no matter who’s team it is. And now tonight the courageous Naughton injury, oh god that was sickening, I thought he had broken his neck. The dogs were already on a hiding to nothing tonight, and that left them in pieces, it’s got to be unnerving, and hard to have enough depth when you are not a rich club or a propped up interstate team. The injuries had a huge bearing on this game, and I’m guessing the dogs season, I’m not sure they can come back from it. People say the pies have the advantage with the g, but gees sydneee have one with that ridiculous round and small ground of theirs! But at least the swans didn’t carry on like the geefrickenlong show ponies, that was utter disrespect. No team deserves the injury list the dogs have right now, and the sickening collisions that caused them. TBH I thought the dogs would get smashed before the naughton injury, they can hold their heads high. They played out last weeks game with no bench left, and had to back up to another week with the ladder leader. Heaney is a huge out, but with the dogs outs they could have rested him anyway. Cheers, I hope your players have swift and full recoveries.

Of course News Limited via news.com.au is sensationalising Naughton nearly breaking his neck by having an article with looping vision on the front page.
If you stop visiting their media then they lose business. Vote with your feet

Your last post was at 12:22am and this post was at 6am, which means you likely got less than 5 and a half hours sleep. Would not really call that fine.
That's a good night's sleep for me.... I did some work last night and I have 2 young kids to get ready for school. Look at you policing my personal life.
