Under Kingsley we have made finals under every year of his coaching tenure. Granted the finals trend lines are not positive, but Kingsley is the only current AFL head coach who has a 100% record of guiding a team to finals every year.

Winning finals is kind of what matters though.

What’s so bad about a night game there? That said was surprised there wasn’t a 1:10 game today

Literally 25 GWS supporters in attendance. Zero opportunity for any if their travelling fans to get up for a weekend and be home sunday night.

Plus about half of our members are juniors and probably 1/4 are under 10 years old. Even though public holiday here many families wouldnt attend. I know when my kids were younger only i went to night games and kids stayed home with their mum or only eldest came
Slippery dewy conditions here after sunset for most of the season also more generally re night games.

Yes, under Hardwick they have a coach who has won premierships and who can guide a talented list to a Premiership. It is however very hard to win a premiership - a lot of things have to gone right. I personally think Sydney, Fremantle, Hawthorn and of course Brisbane are ahead of Gold Coast - but there’s 15 more rounds left so a lot can (and probably will) change.

Yes, agree the crowd would have been more with better fixturing, but still the 3rd biggest crowd for a Gold Coast vs Giants match in history (of 22 games played).

Both teams kicking for goal has been dire. In fact overall it's felt like a 12th vs 13th sort of clash.

Conditions were slippery which might explain some of it

Schedule isn’t perfect but let’s be real how many gws fans would travel? It was a good crowd anyway, least it wasn’t Darwin with the dew
