STATE OF PLAY:
  • The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
  • Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
  • Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
  • This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
  • Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

Guys I think it’s very clear now this games doomed. We have the ceo blocking people on twitter for asking about afl 23 and Xbox. I’m not supporting this game anymore, f#>k Ross. I don’t care which PlayStation holder that offends. At the end of the day the consumer deserves to be updated and informed, how many people would be headed eb to pick their Xbox copy this morning to be completely blind sided. Ross has never apologised for this whole f up, who cares if you don’t think it’s your fault, apologise to the consumer and fix it. Don’t just be a passive aggressive moron. If you’re reading this Ross (which ya won’t because it’s not praising your piss weak game) this could not have gone any worse.
 
Geee the videos people are putting up aren’t great at all.

I won’t have a crack at BA, if it’s anything like cricket after 3 months it will patch up fine , what I will have a crack at is the bunch of people that called anyone whingers that were merely raising red flags about lack of information on modes and game play prior to release.

I don’t play or buy a lot of games just a select few these days so can someone explain to me why games release now needing to be patched straight away? I’m not just talking this game either. I just don’t understand it how you can buy something off the shelf in a store for $100 or sometimes $150 plus for versions of games and not have a final product on your hands? I understand fixing small things as time goes on and you get feedback from users but to have plenty of games that come out broken to the point of being unplayable on release?

Hahaha, oh man those time receipts. I stay up until 3 am watching 3 streams and taking notes and decide to stop remoting to watch in better quality. Watch until the end of Micheals's stream. Collate my notes and set my agenda for my morning meeting from all the feedback. Get a few hours of sleep and start getting ready while adding more notes. "Why is the guy who takes notes to pass on not online all night when all the streams have stopped!" "They're never coming back!"

Are you ok? Serious question. If my getting some sleep is an issue for you, I'm a little worried. Everything else that's been said it's like cool noted, let me find out.

What I don't get is a guy like Neil Erasmus who hasn't played many games gets a face scan, yet Heath Chapman, a guy in our best 22 doesn't have a face.

I believe in BigAnt. I’ve just got one question/request I’m currently playing the goal mode waiting for install and there’s no haptic feedback for PS5 controller as indicated on the cover. Will this be in the game for goal kicking, tackling, marking etc?

Ah the good old we’ve been made aware there’s problems with OUR game and are trying to fix it! I love it!
